I agree this setup is great. I have wanted better brakes for a while now and was set on wilwoods specifically because they will fit under 2118’s.
I am running 16mm front spacers down from 25mm as they used to rub during spirited driving. May have to look at this setup now 🙂
Epic car as always
Just the road mounts bud. I literally loosened both gearbox and top engine mounts then pulled the engine as far forward as possible - moves quite far tbh and then did them both up again. Stopped the banging. I also replaced the dog bone mount with a purple power flex which also helped
Was a great morning. Brilliant to meet a lot of usernames in the flesh and the convoy over from Worcester. Missed this kind of thing. Massive thanks for @MrBlonde for organising. Roll on the next one 🙂 #clioheaven
Yes I am hoping to supercharge it at the end. What this car was meant to be so want to fulfill its rightful powerplant when funds allow. Chassis, brakes etc were always setup for 385bhp and numerous conversions have happened with no issues. KMAP’s who specialise in K series do a map using...
Thank man - It is my parents place about a mile down the road. My garage houses my Clio and my gym so they kindly store it for me there. I will be sure to pass on your kind offer to them tho matey 😁 - my dad is partial to a Cobra... pint of
Thanks bud. I looked at it today and thought how glad I was that I saved it from being scrapped - Big plans for it still, just a lot of other shizzle has taken priority this year. A keeper for sure...she was born on my birthday so I believe it was fate...and I don’t believe I any of that s**t...
Yes bud. J6 at Worcester then head down the A422 then A46 into Stratford. Nice roads if the weather is nice. Anyone heading from the South West or Wales happy to tag along if your planning on M5 route
So a few things been done since my last update. All kit on bar the drivers side rear wheel arch. That will need professional attention as it is past my level of skills as the fibreglass is quite deformed. Wheels are on one side and it now resides waiting patiently for me to start the next...
I will join a convoy as I am Kidderminster so not far from M5/M42 along with @RustyMojo 🙂 I think there is a more scenic route if we go through Worcester...a roads down to Stratford
I used to have this when it first got converted. I replaced both engine mounts with vibra technics versions and also pulled the engine as far forward as it would go when putting them in. Did the trick and mine did not vibrate like a lot of people mention when fitting harder mounts.

Will be travelling from Worcester way so happy to convoy with anyone near ish or just meet everyone there. 🙂
It is the torque increase that does that. Peak power doesn’t look much on paper - mine made 235bhp back in the day but it gained nearly 100lb ft of torque which is where you really notice as it is only 975kgs.
Correctamundo Mr Mayfield 🙂.
To answer the original question of should you turbo your car I completely agree with all that @Mbeau has said tbh. I have had my cup since 2008 and turbo’d since 2014. I do love it but it is not without issue and I drive it very occasionally. A lot of my problems...
I have to say I think this is an engineering masterclass but when I first saw the silver car I was a little underwhelmed visually. Having now seen it in S guise I think it looks the nuts. F40 and F1 LM are my favourite supercars and I still don’t think this will ever compare to those but it...
