Ok, i phoned k tec. the guys couldnt be nicer. its not a problem to get a new section. I just need to determine if its the center or rear. trouble is.. it doesnt do it when standing still. it needs load on it and i cant tell where the noise is comming from when im driving! lol
Yea, i think i have the guarantee somewhere... wasnt sure if it had to be fitted by them to validate it... ill give them a bell and see what they say. I was just seeing if anyone else had experienced any problems with the stealth and if this does sound like baffles.
cheers mate :)
Hi guys,
Ive got a 14 month old k tec stealth system on the car. The cars done 8k since fitted and i think the baffles have now collapsed! At certain speeds the resonation is horrific. sounds like a motor bike is right up my arse. Any thing less than 30 its fine. 40mph is the worst. Anyone...
Hey guys, once again i have been given the labourious task of fixing my sisters car. I had this brilliant 172 for ages with no problems at all. Since shes had it its been a bit of a pain. Heres the break down:
The abs started coming on a few months back on light breaking. I think its an ABS...
Peachy! ill give that all a go 2moro and see how i get on
I hope it is the switch... but is funny how it just decided to connect the circuit for no reason? I could understand it better the otherway round- failing to connect the circuit. Ahh well. Thanks for the quick response mate ;)
My...
Hey guys ive done a few searches but cant find a full answer, just wondering if anyone can help.
The car was driving fine a week ago and has sat undriven this last week due to the snow. on the day of the thaw about midday my hazards just started going off (without the clicking sound) i went...
how did you get on with this? after a long week of ice and snow my car did exactly what yours did. was it simply the switch? Ive disconnected the battery but can drive it because of the constant flashing. im sure its weather related.
cheers
WTF??? Speel off the facts??? I stated the bloody obvious. Any car running 9 seconds needs rediculous power and cash spent.
You said you liked the civics as a drag car- i said i would rather not have one and stated my reasons why- they need too much money spent to make them fast. I was making...
No problems.
Now that i know youve been in the game for years, had some fast cars and wern't being funny I know youll agree with what im saying?:)
I didnt question if you had fast cars or try to offend your knowledge i was simply saying any car with an abundance of cash thrown at it would...
responding to not normal developments-
you can make any car a 9 second 1/4 runner all you need is time and money- lots of each! If your aim is a 9 second car then imo your obviously very serious and will spend serious money to achieve this. Any car running a 9 second 1/4 mile has had a huge...
they look ok, but they are so common. They need serious work to make them good on a 1/4 mile. I wouldnt describe them as "the way to go" on a quarter mile as you dont see many dragsters being front wheel drive?
You could buy and old skyline or old evo for beans that would destroy turbo civics...
take the leads off and clean the plug contacts. Look at the tips and see if the are cacked in soot or if there is any damage. You could use an anti damp spray to eliminate water penetration.
Its the plugs and leads havent been done in a while id start there. see if there is anyone local who...
ask a garage- we can only give you an idea. Ive never done a w pump on any car. look up some companies for the part seperate and then call round some garages you know. The cheapest isnt always the best.:)
as said before in the other threads youve got about the cambelt kits, its important to do the aux belt pulley. i had a good look at mine and it was goosed. It can cause the belt to foul into the cam belt and make that fail too!
K tech dont seem to do the aux belt kit. call renault and find out...
mate get what you want, but put it this way:
why go to all the effort to change the tensioners (cause the moneys in the labour) and then put an old knackered belt back on that costs 20 odd quid to replace just for it to slip or snap 100 miles down the road. If you dont change the belt your mad...
Any N/A car ive had ive never noticed any difference in de cating Some times its made it worse. I imagine a re map is pretty essential. Also many N/A engines really need a certain level of back pressure in the system to work effectively. I dont bother mucking about with cats these days- to much...
