Just took the cutoff switch off the car to test it. The outer most 2 pins seem to be connected to each other no matter if the switch is pressed or not.
Car sat still over winter for some months, now it doesn't start any more.
New battery and new TDC sensor fitted - no spray coming out of injectors.
Fuel was squirting out of the fuel line when I tried cranking with the fuel line disconnected, so I assume the fuel pump is still working.
Tried...
Passed on my 2nd try, having done nothing mechanically.
Over the weekend, with help of an OBD reader, I noticed that the upstream O2 sensor being stuck at 0.07V when the car is cold, then fluctuating between 0.1 and 0.9V like it should, once the car warmed up. This meant that the heater coil...
It was around 80 Euros from the Renault dealer, I was in a hurry. They're probably much cheaper if you buy reconditioned off ebay.
Changing the injector solved my problem.
Took the fuel rail out yesterday. Cranked the car over with wife's help and saw that one injector was not working.
New injector ordered. Hopefully problem solved.
Currently having a misfire where the power loss is perhaps 30-40% - I can still get up to 150-160km/h on the highway but not much higher, there is the characteristic "motorbike" sound, and the fuel consumption is huge.
Spark plugs, leads and coilpack are just over a year old.
Hooked up an OBD...
Re: PB and perhaps fastest lap of the Nurburgring in a Clio 2 RS on youtube - 8:38 BT
A shame about the holdups. In the clear sections we're about the same pace.
Re: PB and perhaps fastest lap of the Nurburgring in a Clio 2 RS on youtube - 8:38 BT
Yeah it takes a long time to learn it. I've had 2 crashes on the way to where I am now, it definitely can go wrong.
Tested a E46 330d today, didn't like it :/

Now featured on http://bridgetogantry.com/ :D
Tested a E36 325i today and was rather underwhelmed :(
Re: PB and perhaps fastest lap of the Nurburgring in a Clio 2 RS on youtube - 8:38 BT
thanks guys :)
I started out being a horrible driver. It really does take time to improve. Just keep at it. This was from 2007. It was only thanks to BMW's DSC that I survived...
Re: PB and perhaps fastest lap of the Nurburgring in a Clio 2 RS on youtube - 8:38 BT
I used Racechrono which works on phones such as Nokias, along with a 10Hz GPS from Qstarz. For the iPhone, Harry's Laptimer would be best, in combination with Tomtom carkit or a 10Hz bluetooth GPS if it's been...
Re: PB and perhaps fastest lap of the Nurburgring in a Clio 2 RS on youtube - 8:38 BT
Yeah, I must clarify that I've been going to the 'Ring for the past 5 years, have done around 350 laps, and had instruction many times. Even so it's rare that I drive with so little margin for error left. The...
Actually I take that back...

Thanks :) Lemme know if you come, I'll try and drive over if I'm free. :)
Thanks :)
Re: PB and perhaps fastest lap of the Nurburgring in a Clio 2 RS on youtube - 8:38 BT
Yeah in November there are a lot less cars there. So if the weather's good then it's definitely worth going.
I've now done something like 350 laps, about 300 of those in the Clio :)
That Frenchman's only done...
Re: PB and perhaps fastest lap of the Nurburgring in a Clio 2 RS on youtube - 8:38 BT
Oh this is actually Yotah1's lap with me as passenger. Could have sworn he was cornering faster on the R888s, but looking at the videos side by side the difference isn't all that big...
Re: PB and perhaps fastest lap of the Nurburgring in a Clio 2 RS on youtube - 8:38 BT
Yeah in November there are a lot less cars, so if there happens to be good weather it's worth going.
Woke up early on Sunday, noticed it was great driving weather so I headed over to the 'Ring. Sat with 2 awesome drivers and managed to improve a bit myself.
Those 2 drivers were xthilox and yotah1 (their youtube usernames). xthilox has done 8:18 in a Clio 200 Cup and close to 8:00 in his Megane...
Hmm having gone for a lap with someone on R888s I can confirm that they do grip a LOT harder. I was still very happy with the AD08 though. Managed a 8:38.
Yeah it now handles a lot closer to neutral.
The AD08s were also fantastic at the 'Ring on Tuesday. Dealt quite well with torrential rain on the way back too, despite doing 140+km/h, which would definitely not have been doable on R888s.
Not the quickest lap due to traffic at some crucial...
I love the AD08.
Very good grip in the dry, pretty amazing grip in the wet too.
Sensitive to pressure changes.
Perhaps not as much ultimate grip as the R888 in the dry but they give a lot of feedback.
Managed 3:25 around Spa when it was raining.
