Fitted a set of cup shocks & prolines to my brothers 172 today. I was a massive fan of sport lines before but I'm converted to prolines now because of the ride quality combined with the same handling improvement sport lines give.

More than likely the key. I had this problem with my old 172. I kept the fob for unlocking the car but took the actual key out it & put it in the bog spec key case/fob for non central locking clios. Worked a treat.

Why would they be sought after? They're not exactly an iconic old school. I remember a guy I used to go biking with had a white one that was some edition version. Went like jobby off a shovel.

Were the pins in the calipers free?

I've heard of RUK doing that before yeah. What I mean is it wouldn't have came as a selected option as a newly bought car by joe bloggs.
