Unfortunately the 5th gear of our 172s are quite weak according to our competitors like Honda 1.6 160hp Vtec, 206 RC, 207 RC and etc. Our transmission ratio is 15/58. Any comments and improvement suggestions?

Actually Laguna transmission is 15/61 and it fits directly to our mk2 172s. So I will go for that.

Well I am a bit surprised though. I don't have any sports catcams installed. Mine runs on standard ones. And I have GroupN Ron98 from Henk and my car outputs 188.7 bhps on RR. And it even gives higher output with RS Tuner kit's performance analyzer...
