im using a full set. good in the dry but not a lot of lateral grip in the wet but loses grip progressively even after 9000miles (normal road use). im using 195/50R15 as well. starting to get a little noisy though...

id get it done up spanking new as bait, then discreetly set up a security camera. you should have evidence before long.... has to be someone on a walkabout who has to pass by your car pretty often

my 15s are 195/50/15 actually, and they came stock on the car. we dont get the 16" option here.
are the 15s and 17s youre using the same tyre or different brands? the difference in grip levels could be due to this as well.
i guess the 17s would offer improved grip, but handling? guess ill...

even better if you keep a digital camera in your car to snap a shot of the accident before everyone disappears. i keep one in the car for just that purpose nowadays.

i had the same problem i think. during cold starts the belt squeaks like a tortured mouse? think the pulley and the belt were both replaced under warranty, and this is after it was booked in two days in succession. the first day they only adjusted the tension. it came back the next day and i was...

hi all,
i know this topics been done too death already, between supersprint, mongoose and magnex for complete systems/cat back, whats the best bet for a 2001 Clio RS? im not looking for anything too noisy though, a nice bass note and generous power gains are what im after.

hi mikeherts,
my real-time mpg works just fine. it only works when your cars above a certain speed though. lower than that, or at a standstill, it displays a series of dashes. it comes right after the average mpg cycle.

hi black clio,
as i mentioned in my previous post, the brand is HKB, not to be confused with HKS. i would post a picture but this site doesnt seem to permit that. my steering wheel has given no problems WITH airbag light disabled i might add. it was pretty off-the-rack for me and it wasnt a...

okay. latest update. not so good. resistors work fine. would like to be able
to give you details but i dun have any cos i got the resistors without any
packaging at all. they were in a bunch wrapped in bubble wrap. no brand
markings or packaging at all. AFAIK, theyre from taiwan or hong kong...
erm, actually mine has an ORANGE one, a GREEN one AND the horn connectors. tried the four in one resistor but it didnt work. switched to using two single resistors instead. airbag light is off now. finally. would post a image of the underside of the airbag unit now but my digital camera isnt...
just opened up my steering wheel. managed to get a boss kit for the car. unlike most typical japanese cars with a single pair of wires, the 172 seems to have two sets of two wires each. and i only had ONE resistor! sighz. going to pick up the resistor with four wires tomorrow and ill see how it...
taking out the bulb was more of a tongue-in-cheek comment actually.
the boss-kit with the airbag adaptor has a resistor that tricks the computer into thinking the airbag is still there. not sure as to the exact specs though.

im curious about this too! you could always remove the bulb! :-) but godonlyknows what kind of untold damage that could do to the onboard diagnostics!
maybe one of the major steering wheel brands manufacture a boss kit with airbag sensor for the 172? but where im from, its quite hard to buy off...
