Spotted a Red trophy, or could've been a look a like travelling from the springfield area in chelmsford, essex towards boreham interchange this afternoon.
I've covered around 130 miles and it is starting to change already, some times it's boomy and other's it's a lovely deep rumble and it certainly has made a difference in acceleration i think. Sounds alot better once warmed up too. Few hundred more miles and it'll sound perfect. It's a lvely...
Yeh that's the impression i got from the video, nice and quiet! But when i had it fitted it is rather loud inside the car to be honest. But hopefully it'll quieten down abit once sooted up.
Ok thanks for that. Thought this might be the case, has been a long time since i've had a car with a stainless exhaust, last one was a Pug 1.9 gti with a full magnex and that was loud!
I have just purchased a BTB stealth for my 172 cup and am pleased with it, although i have found it to be a little bit on the loud side between 40 and 60 mph and when accelerating past 80mph, there seems to be a lot of noise inside the car at these speeds. I was expecting it to be a little...
Hi,
Have just had fitted a cat back BTB stainless exhaust to my clio 172 cup. I have found the exhaust to be rather noisy as i was lead to believe that it was a near to standard noise wise.
Have any of you got a BTB stealth fitted to your 172'S /182'S??
If so what do you think of the noise level?
Have just replaced the centre section on my 172 cup with a BTB stainless cat back system, it's identical to the OE part and is a stealth version. It's very well made and comes with extra support to stop it moving about as much as the standard renault one does.
Cost was £349 +£25 delivery
Is so...
I ordered a BTB stealth cat back system this afternoon for my Cup, £349 all in. Comes with an extra hanger to add stability, unlike the original system which seems to eat genuine renault exhausts at an alarming rate!
Having same trouble as you, i need a centre section on my Cup and have heard K-tec are good/bad, Yozza are good but can be loud and BTB are really good if you want the stealth quiet option. Took my Cup to Ren-0-tec where i had my service and genuine renault centre section from them is £168 at...
just got my cup and it's on 48k, just had all the belts done and de-phaser pulley as a precaution with 4 matching tyres and 2 owners from new, completely standard.£2600 on a 2003 plate.
I went to my local lookers renault dealer and the guy there recommended K tec over buying a genuine renault one and he works for Renault!! The middle section from renault is £250!! and the back box is more, Ktec is £350 ish for the middle and back box so think i'll go for that!!
Hi,
My Cup has a blow on the middle section where the back box joins, is it worth replacing with standard or upgrading? Can anyone recommend a decent quiet unobtrusive aftermarket replacement? Not looking for 4 inch rear box etc etc bit too old for that now.
Any help appreciated please;)
Will soon be needing a centre section for my cup. The back box has been replaced twice and the centre section i now going around the part where the back box joins the centre pipe.
Am unfamiliar with stainless exhausts and the companies that make them have heard on here that K TEC are good?? Can...
