I've just put a deposit down on a 182 its got a fault with the strewing wheel, iv been told its a ring behind the wheel has shorted out and needs a new one, does any1 no how hard this is to sort and how much it will cost?

does any1 no how hard this is? as i have seen a blown up 172 (£600) and a compleat 225 set up (£1100) is this to much work or is it worth just putting a new engine in it?
