Hi all, I'm in need of a recommendation - I've just realised that my MOT is due & this'll be the first time I've had it done down here.
I'd prefer to go somewhere that's recommended rather than a random local place as I got a tyre changed at a local place a couple of months ago & they butchered...
I made a similar style kit & ran before/after at RS Tuning's dyno - it made an extra 3.5HP at the flywheel but lost a little power & torque in the mid-range so I put the standard airbox back on. I'll bring it with me on the day so someone can give it a try if they're that way inclined :rasp...
My 1billion-in-one multimeter has a sound level meter in it so we can compare ;)
I've got a decat + Piper exhaust (looks very similar to a Yozza from underneath the car) so should be around the same noise level as you.
I know I'm a little late to the party but reading through all 26 pages would kill me :rasp:
Can I still get in on this? I'd like to run my 182 (with BTM's GT Racing Cams) and see how it compares
I'd got a little breather filter hidden under the coilpack :)
So that's how a popular specialist on here came up with a price of £129+VAT for a similar kit?!
The parts actually cost me £54 - good science there! :rasp:
Results:
180.0hp with the standard airbox
183.5hp with the home-made induction kit
The power graph was almost exactly the same across the whole rev range as with the standard airbox, the main difference being the roar that you get from an open cone like that!
I've just got tracking details for PTT (a Turkish delivery service, I think) - hopefully it'll turn up in the next year!
Looking back at the pictures it does look to be fitted to a short-shift kit, although mine's got a short-shift kit so hopefully it'll fit :rasp:
Glad you appreciate my use of the CAF (read: I couldn't be arsed to remove it as I'm putting the airbox back in next week)

Far cheaper than the K&N, no idea if it's actually any good though :rasp:

I've just bought one - I was looking at getting one of these (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180864398210 - but from Renault rather than eBay) but this is so much cheaper so I'll happily wait a few weeks!
The picture shows it fitted to a 1*2 with...
Just got quoted at £900, Fully Comp :)

Cheers mate, just found this & thought you might be interested - have a read of the thread if you're after a "fancy Renault Sport" gear stick ;)

Just spoke to a bloke at Renault about it - the Twingo gearstick won't fit, but a Megane 250 gearstick might do & looks the same :)
I'm going to mention it to Fred@BTM next time I speak to him & try to get one put on mine!
Pics of the seats or the gear stick? :rasp:
The gear stick is a spherical MOMO handle on a shortshifter kit, although I can't tell you which shortshifter kit it is - it was on the car when I bought it (& the receipt wasn't in the history :()

I've got a couple more bits that I'll be adding during the week...
Obviously if anyone on here is interested I'll do you a better price!
Nice looking car, I only noticed as you were almost beside me going past else I'd have had a proper stare :rasp:
Spotted you a few hours ago today between Tettenhall & Newbridge.
Just realised I never updated this old thread:
Thankfully it was just the steering wheel angle sensor.
Ater allowing Kwik Fit to have another couple of attempts at tracking the car over the course of the next few days (they insisted I give them a chance to put it right, which is fair enough) I...

If someone from CS wants them I'll cancel the auction and do them for £15 posted to save on eBay fees!
(I apologise for the shameless use of keywords in the listing title!)
