I only have a very basic tool kit, enough to get me by but no welding stuff or anything like that.
Picking it up this morning, brand new suspension and all :D
Not quite. It's pretty much snapped in half.
Thanks for the part number!
Quick update. I've managed to get hold of a local garage and despite being busy they've picked it up. Should hopefully be all good now but thanks.
Hi guys.
Had a bit of an issue while changing the rear shocks. i've basically managed to snap the lower bolt holding the damper to the beam. I need to know a part number for the bolt (if there is one) and if it's the same for all Clios? And also the best way of removing what's left of the bolt...
I'll be interested in what you think after you do as I've thought for ages that a well judged diff will make the Trophies truly fantastic, even largely standard ones. I'd love to be able to afford one but £1300 is alot of money.
I was one of the very lucky few that got a ride in the Trophy. I went out in the afternoon after the dog bone mount problem had been fixed and it's a properly awesome piece of kit.
It doesn't really surge at all, just relentless shove from low down (didn't see what from as it didn't spend much...
I've had my Trophy 3 years and in that time i've done around 40,000 miles, obviously used every day and it's been 100% reliable, couple of blown bulbs aside. About half of that is motorway work and the rest are the usual A/B roads.
Because of that the bodywork isn't fantastic, a fair number of...
Sorry guys I stupidly managed to forget about this. Thanks for the replies i'll get some quotes. Norfolk is a little bit too much of a trek but thanks anyway.
Evening everyone.
On the way home from work last night a fawn decided it wanted a closer look at my Trophy, a really close look.
Thankfully there really isn't much damage, it's limited to a slightly dented drivers door just below the 2.0 16v badge and a 2 small scratches in the bumper, again on...
I've seen you about a few times Luke001, think you have a Cliosport sticker on your car somewhere?
I'm working a 12 hour shift on that Friday and a 10 on the Saturday so unless the meet turns out to be after half 8 either day I can't attend :( I'm almost always in Stevenage on Sundays too.
Yes though if we can find one with a good car park it wouldn't be so bad. The Marlborough springs to mind but that's about it. Some good roads around though, just fairly short.
I have my Trophy which gets driven in and out of town on an almost daily basis but I only either see Meganes or non member Clios.
I drive for Wilts & Dorset and end up seeing quite a few typically. Regarding 182s i've seen a silver one last week and occasionally see a RB cup with stripes. I see...
Glad you've decided for the FRP. I love my Trophy but there's just something about the Racing Puma.
Had a quick drive in one and a fast passenger ride a few weeks ago at Zig Zag and while the Trophy hands the FRP its wide arched arse in a straight line, the FRP has pretty much the same...
First post so far, just been looking around to date.
Currently have 4 cars (not entirely intentional - sounds odd I know) though i'm only running 2 at the mo, the Trophy and a 205TD. Currently living near Salisbury and commute to Stevenage most weekends, usually in the 205. Need to save some...
