He's telling you absolute rubbish, from my experience on SUL the Monaro will get 22mpg and the 200 32mpg with similar driving, these numbers are not the same.
I'm in Lyon and spend a bit of time in the Alps, every weekend in snowboarding season. Back roads from Annecy to Lyon are something else after a jaunt on the slopes
Who are you insuring the car with for year round EU cover? Mine is with Stuart Collins but he needs some competition to drive the...
I always pop up in 200 mpg related threads:
The figures above make perfect sense to me: my car has nearly 11k miles and I've also calculated tank fill voulmes over distance, 35.1 mpg is the 11k average (the trip computer under reads by nearly 2mpg), 34-36mpg is typical on mixed driving and has...
That car is the biggest shed I've ever seen, worth only scrap value to anyone other than one with sentimental value!
I'm still looking forward to seeing you put it back to an acceptable condition though :-)
In a Clio 200 the 32" LED I just bought went straight in the boot (whilst boxed) and just about covered all available boot floor space, no need to put the seats down or remove the parcel shelf :)
No idea - But I have never seen a 197 person claim the mpg many of the 200 folk are getting... so something is definitely different (all of mine have been calculated on tank full to tank full and the trip actually reads c.2mpg low).
Wonder if anyone can answer what's changed?
34-36 mpg is pretty average in my 200 as well (over 10k miles), not bad really and much better than I expected, expecially when you read the million poor mpg threads on the Clio III... It must be better than the 197 as that really does get hammered on here?
I think they're part number 7711 427 925, Renault website say £60...
Anyone know the cheapest place to source a set for my Clio 200? The current ones in there are Renault cheapies and not very luxurious carpet, I'd like to upgrade!
Thanks in advance!
TBH £200 is such a small amount it's strange to say 'I have it and want to spend it on my car'.... Sounds like you'd be better banking the money for a rainy day, they're always just around the corner.
Or one of the only ones that bothers correcting the many people who fail to accept that the 200 generally reaches the tested combined figure (what a surprise when you see how many tests are performed to reach that number). Easy, providing you don't drive everywhere in low gears at max revs. My...
I regularly get 420-450 miles from the tank of my 200 Cup driving without trying to be economical, it's mostly lead footed people who do short distances or stop start that seem unable to get the stated figures.
My miles are mostly motorway and mountain, the trip computer in mine under reads by...
I should also add I never buy anything on finance and never will, the only time I've borrowed money was for a mortgage and that's also now been paid off for a few years - As a kid I'd have been thrown out of my parents house if I'd ever borrowed money so it's probably been an influencing factor...
My philosophy is quite different - Just bargain particularly hard for cash paid in one go upfront and do it at the end of a quarter when they're chasing sales figures. Tell their regional sales manager you know they get a sales bonus based on numbers of cars sold and you'll take one at cost...
