Cheers mate, I thought it would be to be fair, I just needed it ASAP. I'll get one from Renault cheap as my mate runs the parts in my local dealers, and does me parts dirt cheap....I just should've got the pair last time the other one snapped.
I've snapped a rear spring on my 182, and was wondering if the KYB ones on eBay are the correct ones? They say it fits the 182, but also 1.2, 1.4, 1.5d and so on.....this can't be right, can it? I ask as i've just purchased one from a motor factors today, and upon removal of the snapped one...
Mine made a horrid cracking noise when it was cold and you turned the steering, then as Chip says, vagueness in the steering, mine bordered on dangerous, get halfway round a corner, the rack would move and I'd have to turn in more, also pulled all over the place on an uneven surface under...
The Malcolm Wilson is fantastic, I'll be competing once again, 5th year doing it now. Personally I'd suggest either of the Grizedale stages or Hobcarton to spectate.
You need to get out into the forests, that's where rallying "is at"....I'm actually in the lucky position to compete in a lot of the local (Cumbria and Scottish Borders) rallies in an N10 Prodrive built Impreza or a Mk2 Escort and love it, but it was fantastic to get out and spectate for a...
I had the BC's on my first Scooby a few years ago, awesome quality all round for the price. Had Avo's on the Escort Cossie and they're the best coilovers I've ever used.
Quick update, I done my rack bushes yesterday....the car is back to handling like it should. On closer inspection, the rack had been moving about 5mm side to side judging by the marks on the rack.
The steering did feel lighter compared to now too, yeah. You want the geometry doing after you've...
Yeah Peter, was an epic car but just not quick enough to go for the outright championship win even after many thousands spent on another engine and gearbox. The lads come a long way of late, looking forward to see what he can do in a competitive car.
You learn something new every day! No wonder my 182 feels so much nicer to drive hard on the passes in the Lakes with it turned off! Always thought it was just traction control.
Having the same issues with mine, I've done everything besides steering rack bushes. Just picked them up from the stealers tonight. Had it on the lift Sunday to do the dogbone mount and one of the old bushes is poking right out the side, so hopeful this will be my fix.
My mate ran one in the BRC the past couple of seasons. Epic machines, just nowhere near as competitive as the DS3's when going for championships. He's now got a DS3!
Hard things they are....I hit one in the RB, front bumper still sports the crack....the speed I was going I expected the fog light the lot to be gone....guess I hit it on the hard part of the bumper.
Awesome mate, as I've already said on Faceache!
I've had 3 and still keep an eye out for a cheap project. Loved my first one, 1980 998cc, pageant blue, 1275gt head, pocketed pistons, janspeed 4-1 manifold, rc40 exhaust, re-jetted carb and pipercross filter, on 10" mambas, and drum brakes all...
