My 172 sometimes doesn't start, will just try start but like there is no spark or somethin, nd if I take key out nd start again it will start. What can this be?

My exhaust has a hole in so am goin to be gettin a new stainless exhaust. I am wanting a standard ish sounding one, also a stealth look. Any ideas?

Hi, I've recently hit a pot hole with both wheels nd since then the steering has been twitchy nd the suspension been bouncy nd crashy, I have also got very slight vibration through the steering wheel. Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks Al

I've just had a trip through a bramble bush thanks to a lorry on my side of the road nd have surface scrapes/scratches from front to back of my car. Would a machine polish get these out? Al

Hey, I recently went to a local airfield and was giving my car a good thrash up nd down when I noticed a loud rattle or flapping noise under the car underneath the gearlever, it happens above 80mph. Any ideas? Thanks Al

I have a 172 and when stationary or crawling the steering is very heavy like there is no PAS. Is this normal or is it just due to the speed? It seems to come and go but atm its coming alot!

I have a knocking when turning and braking slightly. I.e turning into a car parking space nd braking. Any ideas? I thought top mounts but isn't that full lock knocking?

Im gonna be removing the front bumper on my 172 to fit some new headlights. Do the headlight washers come off with the bumper or is there anything i need to look out for when taking it off? Cheers

Im looking to tighten up my gear change, I would like the changes to be abit closer together and firmer. How can I do this other than the obv short shifter? I have read that these can damage syncros etc

Right can you use fully synt in the 172 gearbox's? everyone seems to go for semi synt by the looks of it.

Was just coming home now, I pulled away in first pretty hard and was wheel spinning, then all of a sudden there was a bang and it popped out of first gear. The box all seems OK maybe 1st abit looser. Could any damage of been done and why would it do this? Cheers

I knew it was cold this morning but this was a surprise! The cold weather managed to reset my on board computer, freeze my gearbox and ruin my exhaust mount, I also think some other bushes are fooked coz got some knocking now. How has the snow and cold weather affected your car?

Got in my car this morning, with temperature at -16 and the gearbox wad frozen, eventually got 1 2 & 3 working but not 4 or 5. Should this be happening? I know its bloody cold but is the freeze temp not lower than that? Cheers

Hi, My exhaust has just started knocking tonight at low revs and setting off. From in the car it sounds like its coming from the back box area Could this be down to the cold weather or are the mounts knackered? Cheers
