well i decided that i wanted to go back to a turbo, preferably back to a 1.8 T so it was time to let the 172 go!!

Been noticing a rattle from the front left of my car the last 2 weeks finally had a chance to take a look at it today. done a search at the possabilitys eg heatsheild etc.
its was only really when i turned left that i could hear it, checked the springs and found that the last 5" of...
Iv just 'borrowed' this picture from the photos from the Chester meet. and come across these alloys just wandering if anyone know what there called, or roughly how much id be looking at for a set.

Been reading up on this and maybe possibly pur-chasing it in a month or so!! i have a laptop here with XP on it, but sometimes can be slow and delayed but not all the time! just wandering if this would affect maybe writing the Map onto the clio, what if the laptop did freeze up midway through is...
i think there all generaly alittle umpy on idle and just after start up mate!! also think theresa restriction on the revs aswell until engine is warm, but dont quote me on that
Lately during this cold snap, My 172 is not really getting driven at all and staying on the driveway. When i come to actually using the car turning the engine over, the car sounds like the battery has died the first time. But then turning it over again starts perfectly fine?

Yea il probably go full stripped just leaving two front seats only down to bare shell in the back...
Those 7 hp per tone... Noticable?? Would that make a big difference...
Thinking about stripping my 172 early in the new year, how easy is this to do and how much time should i allow to do something like this? Just in case i want to convert it back to standard at some point?
Once done im expecting to hear a few rattles but is the results worth doing considering...

I have a clio ph2 172 without cup pack and wheels, just wandering if anyone has a picture of an iceberg ph2 with gloss black standard wheels??
Iv done a serch found other black wheels and standard anthracite wheels, any pics would be appreciated.

Yea same mate, i have an aftermarket exhaust and mines lumpy when idle too. I had my mot and one of my lamda sensors needed replacing this seemed to make it 'less lumpy' but that could of been a phsycological thing lol
