Renault sport parts are always a good idea in theory. But of course race proven parts do not always lend themselves well for road use. For example exhausts systems – group n link pipe and back box can be purchased from R sport – but are just not suitable for road use. I am having a blue flame...
I am posting this on my bros behalf.
Modifications so far - Magnex full system, R Sport ECU, Pipercross Viper with custom piping and Tube Torque custom de-cat pipe = 198bhp at the flywheel proven @ well lane turbo centre. Those mods were done in stages - Ill get him to post his lastest power...
Well ran 14.8 which is alright - but my gearbox is gone and clutch & fly wheel assembly and maybe the engine!! (yeh!!!)
Ahhh well - thanks to all the lads that helped out - hopefully see u at the next meet - even if my car aintt ready.....

Rich - that was not octane booster - but hydro methane - thus resulting in my power output being in the region of 4000bhp! with timo172s being around 10000.
A standard cup should run around 14.9 - I was not even going to run my cup - as it has only done 1737 miles. I was pissed off with my time of 15.01 - hopefully should be in the 14s next time. In addition, I need to stop eating Mrs Migs special breakfast with extra sausage! :)

Okay people A few things to get straight:
I raced Timo172 on that slip - I could not get into second gear so slowed down.
Timo had raced a cossie on another slip and beat it.
Craggy owns the fastest standardish VTS in exsistance
It also was a mint day - The Clio crew seem alot more...
Well - apart from discussing levels of torque steer. People are not touchy about subjects - people say things without full knowledge of a certain aspects and Ben your first post was nothing short of antagonistic. I think that it is ridiculous to post a thread like that – as it was questioning my...
BenR – I have difficulty understanding how you can say a Cup 172 does not torque steer. Maybe the heavier Mk2 172 does not suffer from this problem – by all means if this problem is individual to my car I should describe it to my local Renault dealer - or maybe my understanding of the term is...
I sent an email to Quaife UK in regards to building an ATB diff for my cup- as I am trying to eliminate some of the torque steer. They said they would be interested in developing a Differential for the car - if I was in the position to generate orders in a quantity of 20 - 25 units. I was...
My VTR was quicker than an R33 Skyline to 60ft @ York!!. All I used to do was dump the clutch at 4000rpm - it just gripped and went. High power front drivers on standard suspension are very differcult to launch. - I will be running slow times in my cup until I get used to the stupid amounts of...
Thanks BenR - for reply
- Each to their own in relation to the gold wheels.
As much as people will disagree, gains can be had on the original throttle body. Timo172 (on mk1 172)- had seen a sizeable reduction in his 1/4 mile time with modifactions such as a cold air induction kit, decat...
BenR have you got any dyno graphs or pictures of the throttle body kit you mentioned. Who supplied the inlet manifold you used? Which ECU did you use ect? How much was your total expenditure? Did your car have stock cat in place?
Sorry for all the questions

mailto:B@llsie">B@llsie what titanium exhaust are you thinking of fitting? I have spoken to Hay & Scott they could provide me with a custom exhaust with a titanium tip - have failed to find any off the shelf items apart from universal Jap boxes such as Apex-i etc - do not want to go the custom...
