Any noise from the rear end? Rear diff bush is a common area. You could put a diff lift kit on it and then listen to the diff whining its tits off lol
Needs a good visual inspection first to see if they’ve fucked something, or left something loose.
Wouldn’t be the first time I’ve seen the rear toe arms left loose either, as access isn’t amazing to tighten them up properly.

That bearing is the mainshaft bearing. THE single most common failure point I see on the jc5 pretty much.
