Tbh I would’ve already put it on 197 injectors for that sort of expected power anyway. No point maxing out 1*2 injector duty cycles when you can drop the 197 injectors in.
Yeah it makes a decent improvement tbh. Back in the day there was a French guy making semi Grp n tools - so it only advanced the inlet. That worked well too apparently, but I never drove one with it.
Better midrange grunt. You lose a small amount up the top of the rev range, but it just means you don’t have to rev it all the way out. It’s 100% noticeable
You can 100% feel the Terry that they’re carrying in comparison, but if you keep them on the boil, they’re a good car. More of a drivers car I guess 🤷🏻♂️
Yeah I prefer the look of the 197 over the 200. If the 197 came from the factory in AG, I’d have had a 197 over the 200 lol
Having owned a mk2 cup and a mk3 200, the chassis on the mk3 is superior to the mk2. The brake setup of the mk3 is also better, but that’s what you would expect when you’ve got 4 pots up front. And let’s be honest, the brakes on the mk2 can be made to be awesome with the right disc/pad combo...
You can get rubber hose that uses the push fit AN fittings mate. Speedflow and Earls both do the hose and it’ll withstand plenty of pressure.
I’ve used both successfully without issue. But, -6 is horrific to push the hose tail in. -8 is easier, but still tight and -10 is an absolute doddle lol!
You can use a hair dryer or a heat gun on low heat to remove bird etching quite well. You just have to make sure you don’t get the panel too hot and bubble the paint.
I’ve done it successfully on a few cars now where it’s etched into the lacquer.
So in theory, the idea sounds simple and like it’ll work. But the issue comes with removing material from the standard flywheel isn’t really ideal as it can weaken them as they’re only cast.
I can’t give you any measurements either I’m afraid as I don’t have a flywheel that I could measure. I...
That’s a lot of water coming out mate! No coolant pipes at the back of the engine except for heater matrix. Can’t distinguish which side it’s coming from, but could stat housing, heater pipes or water pump.
The thing is, people make mistakes. It’s just part and parcel of being a human being. But not everyone seems to be able to own their mistakes, and it’s how mistakes are rectified that shows the kind of human you are.
