    Engine Mounts - Opinions please.

Go high quality pattern part like Febi etc. VT are okay but you will get a lot of additional NVH. Some people say they have had no additional NVH, and that may be true. However, in my experience, every time I've used VT or similar on any vehicle, they're not a nice addition to a street car. I...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

I agree. They look nice but I think it’s the bigger tyre that looks so much better. The silver Evos look soft with the PS3s on. The grey ones and Toyos look hard as nails.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

In theory it would be worth it. But I’ve got belts due at the end of the month too plus the Cayman service etc. I just can’t really do it.

Cheers guys. Id like to do more of the 2 pack stone chip underneath at some point. It goes off like concrete and is super hard wearing.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Paint all done by a friend of mine, VJB Classics here in Maldon. Reasonably new business as they were part of JD Classics and decided to go out on their own last year. These 2 lads have spent the last 20 years prepping cars for Pebble Beach, Mille Miglia and Classic LeMans. Their work is...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

For those that don’t follow my Instagram (@Its_Just_a_daily). Here’s a pic dump of the latest goings on. In short, she’s had paint on the front due to a hit & run back in February and a sympathetic freshen up of a few key areas. Captured some micro bubbling in the rear qtrs before they became...

Group N timing - daily driver - anyone regretted this?

I didn't think 197s were usually timed to grp n spec?

Group N timing - daily driver - anyone regretted this?

Thanks mate. Is it only the idle that you find an issue? Any cutting out or cold start issues etc?

Group N timing - daily driver - anyone regretted this?

All my bigger work is done by Alex at AWM who would do the timing and take the car for mapping locally to Andy at Engine Dynamics. So it would effectively all be done in house.

Group N timing - daily driver - anyone regretted this?

Thanks for your response and honesty dude. My car has never been mapped and is still on the standard awful lump cal anyway. So its either get the timing altered and mapped to suit or just have the standard car mapped to improve driveability. Its going for its belts anyway so this is what is...

Group N timing - daily driver - anyone regretted this?

Hey all, I know theer are loads of threads about the grp n timing, power and results etc. but im looking for experinces on real world driveability. My car is due its next lot of belts at the end of the month and i'm thinking of having the cams timed to grp n spec and the cal tweaked to suit...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Been a long time here with no updates. I have a request as I’ve not been able to find the right info just yet. Does anyone have a part number/size or spec for the rivets used to attach the triangular blocks that support the side skirts? Not the skirt rivets ( I have those already) the rivets...

    Titanium MrBlonde

Something nobody else talks about with a BMS shifter is the control weight. The BMS shifter is a modified plastic item with an extended lever. It has next to zero weight to it and flops about all over the place. The gears don't feel positive and this in turn doesn't inspire confidence. Try a PMS...

182 Track only brake discs, Brembo not up to the job!!

Probably look to move to a Brembo 4 pot caliper setup and 2 piece disc from PMS. The 2 piece items are not only rotor/bell but also thicker than the standard Clio discs. I suspect you're just not able to dump the heat quick enough or consistently with your braking setup as it is. AFAIK i don't...
