when i pull away with high revs there is a loud squeeking noise coming from the engine bay.
i think the the clutch is ok, as i cant make it slip.
the only other thing i think it might be is the thrust bearing..
has anyone else had this? if so what was it?
cheers

i dont think having a modified car encourages you to go faster when going from A to B, but on a sunny day in the country side then, yes. but thats jus my view, plus i cant afford to drive fast with the price of petrol!
i was well bored jus now, so i thort i mite clean my car.
Well one thing led 2 another n i ended up puttin my old steelies back on (after driving for 5000miles on 205,40,17 toyo proxes) n took my car for a spin. i went to test the grip of the tyres in the wet with a firm brake and my wheels...

my tank sed it was empty yesterday.. so i filled the beast up and there was still £7 left in the tank! but i wouldnt trust and drive around on empty for long!
ok, iv got a 1.2 1995 clio and the petrol gauge fluctuates by up to 1/4 to 1/2 a tank. whenever i start it the petrol gauge will be in a different place.. especially if there is half a tank or less.
has anyone else had this problem?
could it hav anything 2 do with the fact the car has been...
iv got that zorst on my 1.2 clio, and its proper deep and load :) especially in 2nd at about 30mph. u wont be disappointed, n there not 2 bad to fit eva.

iv got toyos (205,40,17) and i still hav more grip tho, especially when its wet.
iv got 7 x 17s on my 1.2 N reg clio. had it dropped 35mm at the front and 32mm at the back, had to take the plastic linings out front and rear. the front dont giv me any problems but the back arches do need rolling cos you can only get 2/3 people on the car and you have to watch like an eagle to...
wheel bearings arent expensive, iv gone through 2 sets since my clio has been lowered and had 17s on.

my next car has to have more speed, so until i have the cash for a Toyota Supra 3lt twin turbo, i think i may get the 1.8 clio, which will still be a huge hike in power from my 1.2!
yea thats wel useful about the Ren 19 inlet manifold! was probably gonna hav an engineer modify my current manifold. im ringing scrappies at the mo to find an old Ren 19 manifold.
my 1st car was a nova and it was crap! altho on sunday nite i had a race with a modded nova with 15s and it must have had a 2ltr of sumink cos it sh**ed on me!!! however i caught him up on the corners and wen braking and ive got standard disks. i dont think a nova has a look in when it comes to...
unlucky mate, got my MOT soon.... is it very expensive to find a new place on the car to open the doors? like on the TVR? or i spose as u sed change the doors every 12months... bit of a hassle tho!
haha! chin up :) i had the same problem wen i fitted my zorst, told her to put a bloody sock in it, so i cud listen to it. i keep it at high revs in 2nd round town, to annoy her!!
wen i was hunting around 4 clios i found one that had the plate N *** V V V (Va Va Voom) so i had to have the car and the plate! it jus helps the car stand out lil more..
