The fastest I ran at Crail was 14.6 at 96mph when my car was standard and 3k milies on the clock. About 6months later I put the magnex and Eibachs on, ran a couple of runs when it was a wee bit damp and traction was not the best. Couldnt get below 14.8 at 97mph. I have never sripped the car for...

My bro knows the guy, he stays in Falkirk sometimes, must be his birds house or that.
It has been into Renault more time than anything else my mate it Renault Stirling says, and hes crashed...
28 front and 29 rear. Seems a bit low in comparison, but the grip in both wet and dry is fantastic. There are a couple of other boys run preasure the same as mine if irc
Back to the topic subject, seen about 147ish mph on the speedo on a slight downhill then flat which was 141/142 gps. Cup is standard apart from full magnex and eibach pros. mailto:14.6@96mph">14.6@96mph, so it is fairly quick as well :D
not quite right fella.
I have always thought this until I got gps. 30 on the speedo is 27 on the gps, 70 is 66, 100 is 95/96 and 140 is 133. This is in a 172 Cup.
I have found my run around car (P reg 1.0L Polo ), to be even more accurate, only differing by about 1 or 2mph to the gps...
140 on the speedo is 133 on my road angel.
Hit the rev limiter in 5th at 7000rpm which was I think 141/142mph gps - slight downhill though. Top speed of 137 is about right on the flat - speedo reading over 140
Red pos 1.2 clio, CS sticker passing Sportsters in Stirling on Thursday night about 10.15pm
Silver 172 at passing Wellgreen car park this morning at about 8.10am
Blue Cup just coming out of Arnprior A811 about 8.20pm, well fit bird driving it! Think it was a 52 plate?

I have got Eibach pros on my Cup, I find it has changed the cars standard set up for the better. The Cup feels a bit more planted at high speeds and tends to thud rather than crash over un even road surfaces if ou know what I mean.
if you shift too early on a 172, you will drop too much below the magic 5500rpm in you next gear. I find changing on the shift light is about right.
(sorry this is not technical input mate, )
Has anybody changed theirs?
I was thinking about it, but worried about what my insurance company would say due to the removal of the airbag...?
Any thoughts folks?
Mac
aye that would be me then!
I spotted you getting into yur car the other week in Tilly, I was walking back to Alloa with ma dog. Was going to give you a shout, but were just too far down the road - would have looked like a complete prick!

this guy is from Falkirk, my brother knows him. This is not the same V6 as the Edinburgh one. Apparently the Edinburgh one was a damaged/repairable one that got fixed up, according to my pal.
