Had for sale signs in the window, you turned off at the m25 exit..
Had a feeling you was going to pass me. Had to start chasing when you did lol :P

I know you cant just remove the air con on the 197s because the auxiliary belt is part of it, but is it possible to get a custom made auxiliary belt made up that once you take out the air con the belt just operates everything else. If so, what places make custom auxiliary belts?
Reece..
Fairdoos mate! I do agree when you put it like that, but, a remap and matched inlets i wouldnt bother with though! Its just something they will NOT go into when you have a claim! Theres no way they would tell...
Its something i would do though. The OP has asked if he should or not...and im saying no...my opinion.
No like i said on my first post, an 18 year old on a zetec s bought a k&n cone filter which you can get really cheap was told not until his 21, otherwise its £600! cone filters new are only £80!
Its okay to declare if you have full ncb, been driving for years, or at a decent insurance age because declaring mods will be cheaper for you! But when your not even out of your teens yet and lets face it...every young man with a fast car is paying alot of insurance, but also every young man...
i wouldnt say anything personally. On any mod! Because im young, they would charge me through the roof if i add anything else to it. Its expensive how it is!!! Just keep your mouth shut and protest your innocense if anything comes up that i very much doubt will! I can say that 90% people i know...
Ive been really happy with my 197 since ive had it! Handles well, Drives really nice, pulls hard through the rev range, sounds like a beaut etc etc...But, theres nothing out there for it performance wise and i do like toying with my cars. I cant justify pulling the 197 apart by stripping it etc...
Was it 1 of them 10 year old transit vans that carry all the scrap they find in the back? There all pikeys that drive them! They'd do something like this. saying things like 'i want a fight!' is typical pikey lol! Most transit van drivers are pikeys anyway
Definate gearbox/rear engine mount! Very common! Mine needs replacing at the moment. This was the reason why my exhaust manifold branch snapped at the flange. A major job on the 197's :(
Was a great day! I went on track and the track was pretty damp! Car got a bit back end happy at times but i still loved it :D - Showed that MT185 Fiesta ST whos boss :P. Got a wicked snap shot of my car going round too :) Im definitely going back next year! Only thing that was downer on the day...
The jobs done now mate. I took the manifold off myself and welded it up! Stuck about 3 welds over eachother! Will be extremly hard to crack now lol! The cars now running as good as it did :)
This is what i have done now. If you look at picture 2, the steering collum is holding up the steering rack. From inside the car (picture 3) i have unbolted the 1 bolt. But, the steering rack is still attached :S. how do you take the rack off from the collum?
Well im doing all the work myself and getting a mate to weld it up for free. Im gunna weld over the other branches and other places where the manifold has been welded up to make sure this problem never ever happens again! All im paying for is a new manifold gasket :P
Job is a real pain in the...
Im halfway through the job now...i have the gearbox mount out, the steering rack is off (but part of it is still attached, will have to find out how to take the rest of the rack off tomorrow) all the subframe chassis bolts are out, starter motor sheatshield off. The only thing stopping the...
