Hi Guys,
I bought this car some years ago, and I've been maintaining it myself since then. I've found lots of information here in the forum but still have this issue:
It is an intermittent fault, I'm pretty sure it is an electrical fault... present in all kind of conditions, cold start, warm...
It CAN be done without removing manifold, I have just done it, you just need to remove air filter box, and if you want more room, take battery off. What I found helped a lot is to remove the earth to the gearbox and the two bolting points of the engine loom nearest to it, also disconnect the...
Thanks Mick... I'll repea th test with an osciloscope and see how the waveforms look like. Engine loom is brand new, I'll re-check pedal wiring and potentiometer readings... Although I've noticed that after executing rz008 erasing throttle limits learning the car feels way better each time...
I don't know it the TPS (internal in TB) is on its way and ECU trying to correct, or geartrain im TB is worn and TPS currently showing a mechanical problem... Either should be new TB.
Average measured throttle position looks somewhat erratic 2nd plot, and if you look at track 1 looks to me very noisy... But I am not sure if it is normal. Anyone done this before?
Hi guys... I am trying to find out if my throttle body is knackered or not, It may not be fully gone, since I have no revs sticking as I have read in other threads, although... the response of the engine between idle and below 2K RPM is very poor, it hesitates and seems to hunt, have done many...
Same story, new lambdas, new plugs, leads, coil pack, dephaser, correctly timed, engine loom, ultrasonically cleaned the injectors and replaced o-rings, car feels better but still the same symptoms, I bought a set of new injectors, if that doesn't cure it, it will be new throttle body :( hope...
I did mines with all the MOT tools, but after some surfing I found these, and they should work pretty well... worth to try, should be almost free to build http://imgur.com/a/unKew#0
SORTED. for future reference... it is for the cruise control, but my car does not have it, so when installing the loom it was extra, also I had an extra connector near the transmission I have no idea what it is for, but I assume is also part of the cruise control option. The rest of the loom was...
SOLVED... it was indeed the bolt shown in the mentioned thread, the lower half and right half of my display were not working, tightened it and put some loctite there. Job done.
I suppose this is what happened to me, but on the right side instead. as it is a liquid crystal display, I am guessing that over-tightening the screw on the back made this happen. Taking dash top out on weekend... http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?522129-2002-Clio-II-Dash-Display
Ok.. Sorted, well at least I know what's going on... The right side of the trip computer display is not working, hence I have missing numbers and letters on the right side...will take ot off to check it. I might have overtightened the screws on the back... THANKS will inform the outcome.
Hi Mick, yes, it is illuminated and responds to button, just showing weird things... and the little l/Km, and other letters not showing.
Yesterday I disconnected the mass for about one minute, and today the numbers were different, still not showing correct info, and now what were numbers are...
It is a 172 ph with cluster type "3" NC3 or whatever sounds familiar to you... I have CAN Clip and no faults are showed there... Is the mileage and trip computer info stored on the cluster OR on the UCH? If so, is the cluster misscomunicating with UCH? I already reprogrammed both and no luck...
Hi guys! Long story short:
-Removed my dashtop and my cluster (battery was connected)
-I had to move the car around (without cluster, worked well)
- Reinstalled cluster
- NO auto headlamps and auto wipers (now sorted)
- TRIP COMPUTER IS GONE... Not working, cycling through the options shows...
Ok I could enter the panel cobfiguration and actually even the UCH repogramming... It went ok. BUT my trip computer still displays anything... Just "random" numbers.. No odometer, no mileage, no fuel consumption, no oil level at startup... PLEASE HELP my mileage is lost, I miss my trip...
Awesome... I just worked something up and removed my cluster. Then, when re-installing it, my trip computer, oil indicator, automatic headlights were not working. Tried to program Dashboard with clip and the same warning appeared to me, I will try the programming steps mentioned as soon as I get...
Sorry to bring an old thread back, I worked on my dashboard top recently and removed cluster, AC control, etc... the problem is that when I re-connected the Cluster it is not showing my old trip computer data, no mileage, no l/100Km, no odometer, no oil OK, nothing... if I navigate through the...
The melted joints on yellow were reinforced, the ones on red circles are NEW and help a lot to avoid the noises and make more solid the dash. In the cluster, the side flaps circled on red were joined with epoxy, just a little and I taped around the trip reset bit... It rattles a lot (see...
Common problem as I understand, I spent this whole weekend fixing ALL rattles from dashboard, I got time to strip the center console as the "gummy" finish that is over this section started to "melt"... also the door handles suffer this when gets moist and warm -awful material- selected by...
Hi guys... Does anyone knows what this connector of the engine to UCH loom is for? I ordered a new engine loom (with VON) and it's a little different from my old one... :S
