Am getting the three beeps waaay too often...have looked at the manual but cant decipher the little diagram to disable the interior sensors.....going to the dealer is a joke.....wait three weeks no courtesy car...taxis...etc...:(
So who can tell me how to disable the interior sensors...
Just the standard Renault alarm that you get with a UK 172.
I have disabled the ultra sonic interior jobbie but still get it going off with the 3 flashes....suggesting that there is a fault...but have no time to get it in to the dealership to be resolved before leaving for Thailand for a...
Oh thats good news!!..cheers guys...the alarm has been playing up a bit recently...if I just lock the door with the key will it stop the alarm from activating do you think?...maybe just kick in the immobiliser?
Mmm cos on a 50 litre tank at 79.9p a litre thats ..ummm...£40...thought £28 sounded a bit low for a "full tank"....bummer I pay 83p down here on the south coast!
"I get about 32miles per gallon, and use a full tank of optimax per week...aprox £28"
Wow!...costs me £37 to fill with Optimax...whats the price per litre with you?
"on a motorway i can sit at 80mph and still b returning 40odd to the gallon."
40 odd?...are you sure you drive a...
No thanks...it looks laughable.

Was with Elephant but come renewal time they were no longer competative...a friend mention Direct line and I saved £100!...god I sound like one of those hard to believe adverts!...but its true!...and they made my whites so clean and fresh...
Air con works sometimes...very weak...other times it says sod ya and steams the car up anyway.
Some warning lights come on then go off.
Interior alarm was going off at intervals...so disabled it...apart from that car runs fine!
Still wish I had bought a Cup!
Is there a seperate fuse for the side windows?...maybe it has blown?...if the fuses are OK suggest you call in at a local dealer for advice before it rains!
"in reality it does."
Well it does sometimes...but generally in my new 172 when it rains or is cold in the morning the CC is a joke and is ridiculously weak...Renault of course say its fine.
I have had air conditioned cars for 10 years...and I know its crap.
My wipers packed up and got tangled with each other the other night, then stopped working alltogether, but it was just the main two bolts that needed tightening up that attach to the motor, they had worked loose.
Air con is still very very weak and sometimes still seems to fail to work and...
Heater in my 172 is OK, though when I go around a sharp bend I get a load of cold air blast into the car from somewhere?......at high speed I get cold air comming in around my feet?/....er and the air con just dont want to clear up my misty windows on these cold mornings!...(have given up try to...
Well its one area that isnt grey!..( ) maybe I just have a slow 172 but me thinks this cup flies in comparison...even the noise is way more tasty!..it must have a different ECU right?!
anyway they can take their time fixing the A/C...this car is much more fun to drive!
Oh dear!...my 6 week old 172 is in having its air-con sorted out (it works a little bit, some days) and they need it for 48 hours...in the mean time they have given me a nice blue Cup with 1500 miles on it to play with.
"The cars 80 kilos lighter Sir so is a bit nippier" the salesman said...
"The answer was a Renault 19 1.8 16v...Should pick it up nexted weekend. Ill try and get some pics up."
Goodness I cant wait!...heres a taster for those struggling with the an-tice-i-pation....
