The connectors on the back of the stereo are to an international standard (ISO). Look on the net for a layout of the ISO connector. There shold be a pin for an electric aerial or similar you need to connect it to this one. The easiest way to do this may be to buy a male iso to female iso...
Fitted it at the weekend, very happy with it . As expected, it tricks the head unit into thinking there ia a multichanger connected so sound quality is as good as it gets from MP3 or Somy Atrac in my case. The 3.5mm jack to RCA leads is not included.
Fitting is simple, pulled out the head...
Have just bought an adaptor that allows you to connect any mp3/ minidisc/CD player to the standard Renault head unit. It plugs into the autochanger socket in the back of the stereo. And connects to the headphone jack on the player. Not fitted it yet but hoping it will be good. Cost £55 sounds...
yes, it happened to me, the dealer bent it when they were fixing (unsuccessfully) a knocking from the suspension. I didnt notice for ages, took it back and got them to fix it ( was a bit of a bodge job).
Took it back a couple of weeks a go and they bent it again, didnt bother to tell me...
The gearstick in my cup moves a fair bit too, but that is because of the engine layout - basically the engine twists on its rubber mountings on power and this is transmitted back through the linkage- When it moves a lot, the engine mountings are shot.
It was probably some monkey from the local dealer taking it for a test drive in his lunch break. Ive seen some greasy youth leaving a trail of tyre smoke in somerfield car park, glad it wasnt my car!!
Hi
Autostyle will do a fully tailored set, in for example black with blue piping, and a Cup 172 logo. Prices start at about £40 for the cheapest material.
Check out autostyle.com on the net.
To be honest, I havent ordered a pair yet, but cot some from them a couple of years ago for my old...
Hi
Took my cup in on saturday for a grinding/gnocking noise in full lock. Was quickly diagnosed as needing the modification to the suspension turret - Top mount to be removed and the hole to be enlarged to give extra clearance (with grinder). Sounds drastic - does anyone have any nightmare...
Hi
All 2003/2004 Dynamique and sport models have clear side repeaters as std, and also no lock on drivers door (cost saving)!
It should be dead easy to find a pair!!
Cheers
Andy
You might have covered this already, but having gap insurance means that If you owe more on your finance/loan that you bought the car with than the market value of the car at the time you smash it up/get it nicked. Then the insurance company will meet the difference to settle the finance/Loan...
I would Highly recommend Adrian Flux in Kings Lynn (Specialist Brokers). They will insure anything and are up to speed with modded cars. Peugeot Sport Club members get a discount there, maybe something could be set up?
I have managed to badly scratch the blue strip above the glovebox on my clip cup. Does anyone happen to know how to get it off without busting it? And what the paint code would be to re-spray it? It is £72 for a new one!!
Thanks
Andy
