Hi All, a rather abrupt update.
But the car was out for another trackday a few weeks ago.
New discs and pads fitted
Oil change in the gearbox was all that was done/needed.
And on that note. I'm out.
The car is going to be getting broken for parts.
Posting here just now before I sort out...
Well well well. It's been a minute and things have been progressing.
The misfire from before was just an extremely rich fuel mixture.
John was round helping again last week and we trimmed 10% off of the fuel table and it's been running well.
The loom is almost entirely finished. We just...
You should feel the nail guns. They weigh a tonne.
Mighty fine if you’ve got a bird problem tho. Decent range on em [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

My problems continue to expand
Chop saw
Table saw
Nail guns

More progress. Got a misfire that’s doing my nut in.
Changed the coil pack yesterday and all was well but it’s back to missing today. Hopefully something daft like an earth.
Also spent a bit of time on the other Clio getting it polished. It’ll 100% be on the road this summer. It’s just needing...
Engine bag taking shape. Got the radiator mounted up. Some fettling of the samco hoses will be required as the cup racer lower mount gets in the way [emoji51]
Interior also taking shape but I really need to spend an hour tarting up that steering column. Makes me sick everytime I see it...
Maven dual port bulkhead connector. £300 I’ll never see again. At least it’s a good bit of kit and seems to
Be going together well enough. Famous last words.
Really nearing completion with a lot of the loom now. Finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel
Another still got the engine...
About time!
Canny wait to see it when finished!
Also looking forward to rubbing magic potions into the paint to keep it nice

I can’t remember if I gave you any paint with the shell.
If you’re struggling then I can get a few L knocked up for you for the bonnet [emoji108]

Don’t get me wrong, this is still really bad.
I’ve just removed most swirls currently. I’ve not really got the time/motivation to chase out the deep marks.
It’s going to be ruined further when it’s on the road/track and I’m very mindful of this haha

I’ll focus on the road first haha.
Had a quick look at potential problems with the Ecu just 5 mins ago but made no progress.
I’ll probably phone omex tomorrow. See if they can advise

All done. Had a day of wiring with Garry and John again and had a fair bit of bother getting the laptops to speak to the Omex.
Eventually got there but we hit stumbling blocks with the car not sparking or firing injectors when turning over.
Going to have a look at the crank sensor when the new...
Small update.
Pushed it back inside again. Cleaned most of it. The amount of fallout and crap on the paint was insane.
Going to spend a day or two giving it a quick polish up but the paints not the best so I’m not expecting miracles.
Debating whether to ceramic coat it or not as the time...
Costco had an outstanding deal on their massive cabinets over the winter!
£980 all in (excluding the black box on the left)
Worth keeping an eye out

Actual proof that things are happening. All be it slowly we are getting there. No thanks to myself as I understand approximately 20% of this job. Feeding Garry and John.
Starter motor is causing issues at the moment. Going to try a new one and a new battery as that makes sense.
Still a fair...
Well the karcher was breaking more and more as the weeks went by. Time for a proper upgrade I guess.
Should last a while as long as I maintain it [emoji108]

Honestly brilliant bits of kit. I’ve got the 1/2” is well and the 1/2” hex sockets for it. The Milwaukee kit only has some sizes so defo worth looking at a better set (Franklin sockets are outstanding for the money, also don’t ever go multi point.)

Can’t believe I’ve only just found this thread [emoji23]
I have Milwaukee problems. (And now unilite thanks to PTM on Facebook haha)
Most recent purchase was the extended ratchet which has had its fair few uses so far. And the stubby 1/2 which I’m actually loving way more than I thought I...
