Hi, anyone know where I could get hold of a new throttle potentiometer for my clio 172 ? Mine has packed up and the local Renault dealer here (South Africa) wants to rush me R4400 for one. Im sure one can be had for a lot cheaper over there. Any info, links etc would be appreciated.

I think they are the tits ! Would obviously depend on costs. Locally they cost around R1800ea so around R7200 for the set. Thats about 640 pounds. What do they go for that side ?

In the 172 you do need to remove them. The bottom of the A Pillar covers clip into the sides of the dash. If you dont remove them first, the dash wont come out.

Thanks for all the assistance. Still one question to be answered: Why does WackoJacko say you need 2 people to remove the dash ? And why do you have to wait a few hours, surely switching the airbag off with the key in the door would disable it immediately ?
