Oh 40! Even rarer then lol! Also the number plate is standard I think but last three letters are BBE which could stand for babe. Can you sell standard registrations? As the previous owner said he had it valued at a few hundred quid? Reg is YS05 BBE
I'm back in a clio! Used to have a silver 197 which I lowered on h&r springs, put a miltek cat back system on, ITG panel filter, remapped and refurbed the alloys in gun metal which cost me over a grand then sold it to buy a family members modified subaru impreza which was running 350bhp and was...
Got it remapped today with dan@SJM and he's done a great job :) flat spot is still very slightly there but ALOT better and it seems a bit quicker too and had the rev limiter raised to 7800rpm which seems to keep pulling a lot longer than normal even though it's only 300rpm more. I'm a happy...
Done a bit of research and can't find a definitive answer.
Since ive had a milltek cat back exhaust got a massive flat spot at 2500rpm. Already had it remapped before the exhaust a while back but obviously need a new remap now. Where's the best place to take it and should I get it live mapped...
Had my milltek non resonated cat back exhaust fitted today on my 197 and I read there was going to be a more noticeable flat spot but it's actually awful. At 2500rpm there is basically no power which makes it horrible to drive. It's already been remapped because I didn't know I was going to get...
My mate has recently bought a 172 cup and the hazard warning switch doesn't work. He must have left the switch to the on position but they wernt flashing and walked to work. When he came home the hazards were flashing because they obviously decided to come on. However when he tried to start it...
Yeh this is true. Since I've been driving like a grandad Ive noticed I haven't actually used as much fuel but the mpg reading hasn't improved much. I've done 75 miles since I last filled up the tank and not used a quarter of a tank yet where as normally a quarter would have been used by now. So...
I normally go through the gears up to 4th (not thrashing it) then go straight into 6th from 4th and just cruise along feathering the throttle. Mines been remapped and soon after it was remapped i managed to get 27mpg for a while but recently when trying to achieve high mpg it wont get above 22.5!
Ive been driving like a grandad recently in my 197 and cant get it above 22.5! The MPG it tells you is an average though so even if you drive with a heavy foor for a bit then drive steady it will tell u the average
Been driving like an absolute grandad in my 197 since i last filled the tank up and reset the mpg but cant get above 22.5mpg thats driving to work and back mainly on 30/40mph roads. Is everyone elses this bad?
It was on 20mpg before so driving like a grandad has only increased it by 2.5. Only...
So easy to fit as well. Pull the old one out, slot the new one in.
Radical remaps did mine. Only charged me £200 as its a non turbo and the gains wouldn't be massive.
You had yours remapped?
After a bit of research it seemed the ITG panel filter was the best air intake upgrade to get for the 197 including panel filters and induction kits so I purchased and installed.
Definately made a difference to responsiveness and sounds a little nicer.
I then had it remapped yesterday and...
Put the air box cover back on now. Definitely sounded nicer and didn't seem to have lost any power but it did seem to be drinking more fuel.
Gonna order a ITG panel filter soon.
Oh 1 Bhp is peanuts. Cheers mate. Definatley doesn't feel like its lost any power whatsoever. If anything seems quicker because of the sound lol.
Sounds beast > 1bhp loss
Yeh I know what u mean, there's little wedges on the cover that keep it in place. However without it on its still pretty stuck in place an I might put a bit of tape on it for extra hold.
