Actuallythinking about it when it was getting mapped his dyno was breaking alot had to got back 3-4 times before it was got done. maybe mapped with dodgey afr readings?

Iv just checked the cat with my inferred gun im getting 230-240 c at front and 120-130 at back
And its heat wrapped and at 2500-2800 rpm and engine is roasting

Yeah 5-6 days a week about 50miles each day to work and back which is town/slash b road driving and sometimes blast up the motorway on the way home as theres a nice long tunnel :-)

iv got i inferred temp reader i forgot about might check the cat with it. its gota be the same temp after the cat isnt it? and if he temps low after the cat, cats constipated lol

Make sure the gearbox earth connection is good really clean with sandpaper on contact points on chassi and gbox
That would my guess what simon said clio 2 immobilisers have a mind of there own after battery disconneted.
Lock the car with remote disconnect batt for 10mins reconnect open with remote and turn on the ignition and wait till immobiliser light goes out then start the car. This can work first...
Annoyingly I didn't take pictures from the start but let's say I bought from someone who didn't car at all for the poor Clio. The last owner used it to take his dog to the parks and it was full of take away left overs (grim and smelly) iv had to change near enough every aspect of the the car...
It's been on going for a couple years but is nearly done just gotta get the a dent out the bonnet, get corner weight set up and then save for quaffe gearbox :-)

Siily question are you sure the new ecu came off a 172 cup? Is there a chance it came off a 182 cup?
Like you said 172 cups don't have abs esp like the 182 have.

Hey bud so if the temp gauge not goin above the half way point my guess would crank sensor first or just a guess when I had my 1.2 16v had similar fault with engine earth cable causing to much resistance when it was hot if ur good with a multimetre do a little resistance test between the earth...

If you can replace the burnt out rear bulb holder even if looks ok proberly still knacked if its had earth burning. Or to test it try if you can swap the rear bulb holder with the other side and see if the fault swaps side aswell. then you know its them or not.

Hey bud I have done all the normal checks like tb map iat icv sensors air leaks vac leaks cracked inlet havnt done compression test or injector flow rate yet but wouldnt think it would be something like that as it would all the time but its only like once amonth so its weird

Whilst im here is theshift light (green gear stick on dash) is that ecu controlled or gearbox sensor triggered as mine stays on all thetime and gearbox oil is ok changed in last couple months and rechecked today

Yeah sorry was to put that in I bought a renault 1 bout 2 months ago and it is switch fine I think what is causing it to come on is in the engine and just confusing the o2 but switches ok when eml on

Hi guys as above another idle issue. Had a look around the car and old treads but nothing quite the same as what im getting. Been doin it for a while every now and then like once a month it will idle high when hot or cold and will keep raising slowly then after a couple key on and offs the eml...

Really? Looking at other f1 with same millage are well in the £8000 plus area.
Even doin a car valuation said it should be in the £8000's
