A nice car history there. I’m a glutton for punishment. I’ve between alternating between Old Renaults and Lancias for the past twenty years!

A lot of those things seems par for the course with Clio ownership. Mine had a similar rattle when I bought it. It turned out to be the exhaust heat shields, which wear out around the bolt holes. It’s an easy fix with some larger washers and a quick tighten up. You can still buy the bonnet...
The old girl has had a lot of love recently. If anyone has a standard engine cover for sale, ping me a DM! [emoji1360]

The bits and pieces turned up yesterday, mate. I had a go with the wheel cleaner and citrus cleaner and both are top notch! Thanks for the sweets too!!!

My bad. I’ve spent the week changing pretty much every nut and bolt in the engine bay. Easily confused when you have changed that many! [emoji1787]

I will add that I just bought a bunch of stuff, but the Apple pay link wouldn’t work. The Shopify link was fine, but Apple Pay came up with a message that the website couldn’t complete payment. Maybe check it out.

I’ve got so much time for this! I launched two new companies at the start of the pandemic and on Tuesday, we secured our funding for the next 3 years! It was f**king hard and I admit that I spent 12 months shitting myself, after walking away from a cushy job in corporate, but it’s the best thing...
I’ve always used Forever Black trim dye. It’s great stuff and seems to stand up against UV bleaching better than most.

Cheap Clios are a false economy anyway. I just bought a silver Phase 1 for £1,750, but then I’ve spent another nearly £7K replacing pretty much every nut and bolt on top of a Cambelt service!

Oh yeah, new centre caps and wheel bolts
New custom ignition leads in yellow to match the oil filler cap and top engine mount
New battery
Slim black battery cover (not one of those big wedge things)
The seat leather re-connolised and repainted
Pretty much everything is brand new and OE, with...
The £7K includes the £2K price of buying the car, but here is the list so far:
Fresh paint to the bonnet, roof and rear quarters
Full cam-belt service
Upper and lower inlet, cam cover and injector guard rail - bought spares and vapour blasted everything
A set of Renault OZ F1s bought and powder...
Well, after two months of ownership and pretty much replacing everything bar the rear beam and subframe (spares off for blasting and coating) and having the callipers rebuilt and painted (in the post), another phase 1 has been saved! I mean, the car already owes me £7K, but meh, I f**king love...
Hey Ben,
Did you recreate a set of the Phase 1 grille stickers in the end? I’d also be interested in the window stickers and fuel flap stickers.
Cheers

All the signs point to a ringer. Surely? It states it’s 19 years old - it is in July, but presently it is 18 years old. It also states ‘grey’ as the colour, not silver. Surely that would be listed as the correct colour with the DVLA, who hold that information? Plus, the thumb grips on the...
If you can master the M16, it’s the best gun by far at the moment, certainly at medium range. I run it with a short range FFAR as back up.
