Should the alarm beep when setting on my mk2 172 or should i just hear the sound of the doors locking . Usually i just hear the doors lock but on a couple of occasions i have heard a series of beeps like a lot of car alarms make. Anybody elses do the same and any ideas what it might be ?

Is the mk2 172 alarm supposed to beep when you set it or should you just hear the sound of the doors locking . The reason i ask is that on a couple of occasions on setting it ,it has beeped three times seemingly for no reason .

If youve heard some bad things about Renault and their dealers you should try owning an Alfa 156 , i got rid of my 2.5v6 after 15 months and bought a 172 :D
