Re: MY CLIO 1.6 PROJECT
1.6's are brilliant fun to drive, I can imagine with a decent suspension set up that they really would be a blast. Always nice to show up higher end cars and watch their reactions.
I went from a 1.2 to a 1.6 (Dynamique) to a 182 and I can tell you categorically you'll have a blast in it. I think a 1.6 with decent suspension and tyres would be amazing fun.
Yeah mate only joined a few weeks ago just before I bought the 182. I'm from Bearsden, so don't go out that way much but was going through to see a mate in Edinburgh.
Are there many meets in Glasgow do you know? I can't ever seem to find any on here...
Yeah that was me, was about to post up that I had seen you! I was sure I had seen your Clio in the media section on here the other day - looks good mate I've never seen a 5 door replica.
I recently had to get my windshield changed because of a stone chip on my 2004 1.6 Clio Dynamique which resulted in the SERV light coming on. I've tried to turn it off with the diagnostic check by holding in the button at the end of the stalk and I've also plugged in the diagnostic computer but...
Starting bid £500. It's got some pretty nice modifications including:
Cracked back bumper
No spare wheel
Rev counter not working
Accident damage and repaired
Can't forget the induction kit. All yours for a measly £500 (minimum)...
I spent a good billion years looking for the right one, in the end I settled for one without packs with the intention of buying the splitter/spoiler and just sticking it on coilovers.
Possibly the wheel balance/tracking. My car did the same at 60mph and would get progressively worse as I increased speed. Once I changed the tyres and got the wheels balanced it was fine even at top speed.
Lovely upgrade. I did the same, I went from a 2001 1.2 'Sport' (lol), to a 2004 1.6 Dynamique, and just bought a 2005 RB 182 yesterday.
Watch out hedges/walls!
What are you doing for the iPod connection OP? I've just bought an RB, garage called me today for the third time and said it'll be Monday I get it - that's been a week now. I think they want me to commit suicide.
I've posted up this picture previously but with no luck, anyone recognize this exhaust?

Not that it's going to affect my decision to buy it as I've already crossed that bridge - tomorrow's the day I pick it up!
Imagine it, 370k and still up on the market! It's a garage and they want just over 4k. Condition is alright but not perfect - to be perfectly honest I'm just sick of looking for a low mileage RB, I'm not sure whether it's worth taking the plunge or waiting longer for a decent RB with packs...
Hi everyone,
I went to see a 182 this morning, it’s got an aftermarket exhaust but I’m not actually sure what the system is. Anyone recognize it? (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/576/img00174201201281245.jpg/)
Also the car itself is an 05 registration, FSH, no cup packs, no modifications...
