Has anybody attempted this? Taken the electrics from the factory mirrors and added it to manual M3 style. Doubt ill do it but is it straight forward?

Just removed standard Blaupunkt cassete unit and replaced with Pioneer DEHP 6300R. The new HU isnt retaining the track placement or settings when the ignition is switched off. Which wires need to be connected in the Pioneer bulk to operate this???? Thinks its the yellow/grey tracer one????
