Have you checked the white plug in the engine bay fuse box it tucked in the bottom and has a few plugs build in it and is the blue section very common for water and green gremlins to get in there
really why is there so many done wrong ? checking it is easy just remove the caps and put the crank pin it hand crank the engine to the stop and put the tool in the end
right when to my mates today and checked the timing it is spot on. Then we checked the compression and his gage reads 192-195 on all cylinders which is good but means my gage must be wrong. So the problem still exists of the low power and other problems. It like its over fuelling my mate also...
Had my timing belt done a little while back and has been low on power.
Symptoms i have pops a bit when cold letting off throttle
low power
smell a bit fuelly
and obd say the ignition timing at idle around 12.5-16 when hot dont know if this is right
also the oil smells fuelly
lumpy idle...
I have also noticed that if get about 3000 rpm and give it full throttle i get a bit of a rattle which makes me think valves but i dont know if they all have a rattle in that scenario
ok thanks finally got to the bottom of it :)
it was the leads i saw tape on them and the felt them and they were all cut up down to the internals replaced them and it all happy :D the old owner must of been a bodger. makes me wonder what else is bodged :dapprove:
I have been trying to find the problem for a while now. it like it over fueling.
It is running a little lumpy and a mate thinks it a bit underpowered it also has a strong fuel smell. It also has a lot of condensation coming from the pipe after stating still for a while.
I have check the oil...
Haa nice to know that its not just me. Its amazing how much damage one silly little bird can do :)
I managed to push it all back so it just little crack marks and taped up the inside with glue in the cracks till i get hold of a new bumper hope it holds :eek:
