Yeah that's the idea decent rods pistons with an oil cooler and then the conversion should be good for that figure. Going the naturally aspirated route I'd have too buy a Honda too be competitive
Ok basically just needed some confidence that other people had done it. I don't want mental power but I just can't see the logic in spending over 3k for 200hp na when I can go the turbo route spend a little bit more and have 250+
I race in the Quaife motorsport news saloon car championship and currently I'm in class e but by going the turbo route itl put me in class c. The fastest cars In classes e/c have very similar lap times so obviously it is more of a gain too go down the turbo route and enter class c,I'm just a bit...
I'm just weighing up my options of racing my car either turboed or go the n/a route (which I really don't like the idea of). My main question is, have many people raced 172 turbos and how did you get on with reliability because I don't want too be breaking it every time I use it! but 165hp is...
I've built my 172 into a race car and run slicks, (I think this is where the problem lies) but after 2 15 min races the NSF wheel bearing drones like mad so after every race weekend I have too change the wheel bearings. It looks like they may get very hot as well because sometimes the grease...
If it comes on and stays on its an MOT fail. If the airbag light doesn't come on its an advisory. Take the bulb out take it back and if he fails it tell him to check the computer as rally cars don't have airbags but a standard version of the car would have. That's why they brought in the rule of...
As they're getting old now. Good service history, the belts being done is a bonus as is replaced engine mounts because they will go at some point but the rest is in the hands of the gods as to it being a good one, make sure it drives right. But obviously you can tell if one is not right so walk...
Group buy for a medical at £50??? I paid £16.25 for mine last month on my own. Are people really paying £100 plus for it? There's f**k all to it. Unless your over 40 I understand you have to have an ECG that puts it up
Sod that mines a track car and I still have aircon on it, re gassed it at work two weeks ago. Happily use it out on track when it's hot too , just means I have to drive it a bit harder lol
Both the holes were the same length in the arm according to my vernier gauge so I bolted them and welded them. That'll do lol il let you know how far each side is out when I get my readings later :)
Well I got home at 5,45 and I've pulled the arms off elongated the holes and bolted them back on and my car now looks errmmmm broken. Which is good :) cheers for the help again mate
You know There is always more that you come across though mate my target is December. Although its a track car I like to do it nicely so it's done properly rather than throwing it together
If I could guarantee it would do the day and get me back I would lve too. I've spent a lot of time getting it ready the past four months and I've still got a heap of stuff to do. Plumb in the fire extinguisher, get my roll cage and fit it a seat the list goes on but I am slowly getting there...
Ok. Is that a matter of moving the ball joint further forward in the arm then? Yeah I don't mind having to make some stuff up if need be, do you have to elongate the furthest hole out to allow the ball joint to move further forward or have I totally missed the mark?
