    172 uneven brake pad wear

Over a decade ;) Just happened to be same problem. Yeah I wondered about something seized but both sides? I haven't had the pads out yet, just the wheels off, but it looked like both sides of the car had worn equally. Almost like all the braking has been done by the 2 outer pads only.

    172 uneven brake pad wear

Sorry to resurrect such an ancient! I have the same problem on my 182, but both sides. Equally so I would say. The outer pad is far more worn than the inner pad, ie. it is the opposite to what you would expect where the piston side wears more since that is the side where the pressure is...

Spare Key Transponder > Car Alarm / Immobiliser / Central Locking Interaction Problem

Re: Spare Key Transponder > Car Alarm / Immobiliser / Central Locking Interaction Pro Thanks Alex. Annoyingly I cannot remember if it has ever worked. I wonder if the last owner could have just replaced it but not reprogrammed it. I'm in Watford, Herts.

Spare Key Transponder > Car Alarm / Immobiliser / Central Locking Interaction Problem

Hey Guys, I have a problem with my spare key only for my Clio 2 182 Trophy. My main key works exactly as expected. The spare key looks like it has never been used. The red light on the key still functioned but the car would not respond to key presses on the key. I replaced the battery in...

    Uprated / modified exhaust mounts

Phew! Finally got the bottom of the 8th page of this thread. So it seems to be between the Powerflex EXH001 and the EXH008. I prefer the thickness and more robust look of the EXH001. The dimensions of the 2 look quite different though, particularly in width. Does anyone have the actual...

Yozzasport 182 exhaust with silenced decat

Sorry to drag up an old thread but any one around the Watford area have this combination on their 182 to let me have a listen so I can make my mind up. Would also be interested to meet up with anyone with a Yozza and a decat fitted.

    Cabasse Auditorium

And another resurrection of an old thread ;) I'm looking to put a standard headunit back into my Trophy to replace the JVC headunit that someone has installed. I know I am looking for a Cabasse Auditorium (Tronic) branded unit and that according to 'xena' comment it will work. There seem to be...

    Federal RS-R

Thanks for the fast reply Fraser. So would you have the same pressures front and back?

    Federal RS-R

What tyres pressures would you run with a 195/50 15 RS-R on track? Ambient temp around 18degC.

What are the brake caliper bleed nipples made from?

Thanks Matt. Where are people buying stainless steel ones from? Might as well change all mine on the next brake bleed.

What are the brake caliper bleed nipples made from?

Thanks Budgie. Also, can someone tell me the dimensions of the bleed screw? I am searching for a replacement for the standard chocolate ones made out of something a little more durable.

What are the brake caliper bleed nipples made from?

Thanks Budgie. Where are you getting them from for £20? I have just had a look on eBay and the cheapest I have found it just over £40 with the postage, with the next one being almost £60

What are the brake caliper bleed nipples made from?

I have just had the same thing happen to me when doing a fluid change. The garage advised I would need a new caliper? Is there no way to drill the remainder of the nipple out and replace with a new one? What is the accepted method of repair for this common occurrence?
