The right hand side beam is shooting high light high beam. How can I adjust them? I make sure that they don't have knob on the headlight nor there's a knob on the dash. Can resetting the ECU help or something? Pleaes help.
BenR, thanks for your kind advice.
Actually, 1PSI is nothing, just to breakthrough the restriction within the intake system. Similar to cold air duct, it will provide positive pressure but the engine will run without any problem.
The problem is that even more air is pushed into the intake...
I'm asking a question but nobody is answering the question. I do think this really work or else, how it can change by 1 AFR? If you have experience on ECU tuning, you will know how much performance gain if the AFR is corrected properly. If so, why it doesn't work? I will do the test again on...
Normally, my total stock car run at 13.7AFR before 4500rpm and 12.7AFR after that. It makes 152.8hp on dyno. Now, I install an eletric supercharger, just a electric blower which can deliver up to 1000cfm under 1PSI. It make 155.8hp. Not impress enough and found it will not inject more fuel by...
172 MKII. I bought new set of damper from local dealer and installed by them. Now, I confirm they did something wrong, miss the bump stop, but it's too late as the local dealer change too.
It's the result before / after fitting the device on Mit. Lancer EVO 4.
CO : 0.94 / 0.13
CO2 : 13.9 / 14.2
HC(ppm/vol): 0.167 / 0.079
O2 : 14.2 / 15.1
Temperture : 30oC
NOx : 1.646 / 1.733
Want message I want to pass is that, don't just say "They're crap" only and ignore some successful stories. I understood, you some may have some bad experience on them. I do believe this and actually, I would like to investigate it, for my own interest, but it seems too far aways from me. If so...
Then ever meansure up the emission, AFR and manifold pressure after installing Ecotek to observe the change on settings? It's to find out whether the device is work or not instead of theory only. Even if you install it and got no gain or even worse, there're many form factors which will make it...
FSE is a fuel pressure regular. Increase the pressure and the injector will inject more fuel into the engine. It will alter the AFR. If your engine is running lean, richen it by increase the fuel pressure will have power gain, back to normal. If it's already rich, then richen the mixture will...
Come on BenR. I tried on many cars, like EVO, FTO, Benz, Charade, Odyssey, Civic EK, Nissan S14, ..... both me and the owners feel the difference before and after installing so. I measure the emission too and close to zero emission on my EVO4 with decat. Horrible? It may not work on some cars...
stan, my question is "I want to know the change in AFR after replacing the catback system" but not "Is it neccessary to remap the ECU after replacing the catback system".
To be honest, I installed on my clio and only give a little bit fuel economy. Fortunately, I do notice sharper throttle response and rev freely especially at high rev. Good for the price.
I investigate the product for a long time with wideband lambda sensor. It will only induce 5% more air...
My question is that if someone had datalog on the captioned change. If no, no problem. I may consider install one and report it there for your reference.
I had the wideband lambda sensor but I don't have the catback system in hand. I will buy it if I know the lambda result. IF I have it in hand, I don't think I need to ask a question here.
Agree !! I owned EVO for 3 years and play her as a testing platform. I owned Clio RS MKII for 2 years and still know a little bit on it. So I would like to seek for advice from the expert like you. I don't want to guess, I only trust the fact.
Before, I tried Jetex backbox replacement, it...
BenR, I don't think so. Changing either intake or exhaust will make difference in AFR. Even changing the size of the backbox will make a difference too. I have wideband lambda sensor and play with AFR for over 2 years.
In my experience, on Lancer Evolution, changing the catback system alone...
Dear Stan, million thanks for your reply but I think you don't understand what I'm trying to ask. I know it should be remap after changing intake or exhaust. I just want to ask for the reference AFR after replacing the catback system alone. No more, no less. I know different car behave...
Thanks for your reply. I know it should be remapped to provide the best AFR after every mod and my question is, anyone replaced the catback system only and measure the AFR? If it will mess up the AFR a lot, then I will give up. Of course, I can measure it up by myself and I have wide-band sensor...
I know it's different from car to car but I would like to have reference to someone who did this mod. and measured the AFR for such changes. I fully understood how ECU work. Please advice.
