Well 195bhp is a start I spose! Done by Total Control Racing, they ran a couple of cars in the Clio Cup thingy and have won a few times. Should be £1175 after vat, including labour and parts.

Found a place that will do ECU, Inlet manifold and cam for £1000 +vat. Is this worth it? Will take my 172 to 210 bhp. Does this sound about right??

Hi all, for the last few days my temp gauge has been misbehaving. During normal driving the needle goes up to just below max temp then slowly drops over a few minutes to just below mid temp. Have checked coolant levels and all okay. Its due the 72,000 service in about 2 days and Im hoping...

Dixon renault in york just quoted me £850 for my 72,000 service on my 172. They reckon that this is £350 for the service and £500 for the timing belt. Apparently they have to take off the inlet manifold to get at the plugs!! Is this true or are they taking the p*ss? Workmates think its...

When I bought the car it didnt have the CD carriage with it so I bought one from Dixons York and the multichanger wont work with it. Might try the one in Harrogate then.

Better get them to stick Bosch super 4s in then if its only going to be done once!! Anyone know a dealer near York that wont try and pull my pants down.............figuratively speaking.

That did cross my mind but only had the car 3 weeks so I wasnt sure if this was a fairly accurate quote. How much do you reckon? He reckons that the spark plugs on a clio are a sh*t to get at and are only changed at major services? Thats got to be b*llocks?

On same topic, my 172 mk1 is due its 72,000 service soon and timing belt is apparently supposed to be done at same time. Been quoted £850 by Dixon Renault in York. Anyone in same area know a better/cheaper renault dealer nearby?? Is this price about right?
