Starts this Sunday - BBC2 9pm, first episode will be Italy. It's got everything from Ape 50 to a Miura SV. (which I found out at 6'3 I can't really fit in and ruined a childhood dream, the Miura I mean, somehow I do fit in an Ape 50)
Been in the industry for ten years and also done some motoring journalism along the way, pretty much everyone I know got into the industry at a researcher/runner level, started off with a work placement and have worked their way up.
Ah good - I'm a Producer but as I'm an anorak I pretty much just do car stuff, last thing I worked on before this was the Transit Van on Speed With Guy Martin.
Been working on a new motoring show 'Paul Hollywood's Big Continental Road Trip' which is on BBC2 next Sunday 28th May 9pm -Think you guys will like it, there's 3 shows Italy, France and Germany. The French episode (which will be shown last in order) features among others the Clio RS 200, first...
Well, it appears you're a font of knowledge. Interesting geek fact, and even more depressing that they actually went to the effort of making that crap font!
Yep, among others I had a Fabia vRS (Mk1) supposedly solid/reliable. The rear doors leaked water, the boot solenoid failed, the boot switch failed, the brake switch failed, the window regulators failed, the factory alloys all went porus and needed to be refurbed, the turbo failed, the laquer on...
I might contact 3M and see if they can custom cut some stick on cutouts for the Clio, I suspect given that it's such a common problem there might be a fair bit of interest in just sticking on some pre-cut protection...?
I might TBH and just get some blanks fitted. Will improve the 'sleeper' look from the front at least. It's my daily drive and does 70 mile daily trip. My 23 year old 205 is still on it's original driving lamps with not a single chip, Clio ones must be made of sugar glass.
R222 wax is good but not the best longevity. Collinite 845, gives a nice shine with decent duration and Wolf's body wrap has the best duration. Like others have said though much is key to prep and removing swirls etc from the laquer, which requires using a DA. With darker colours you can...
Just replacing a fog light AGAIN after being smashed by a stonechip. Is there any decent fog lamp protection you can get as it seems to be a real weak point on the Clio? A mate has a Civic with perspex cutouts that protect the lenses, is there anything similar for the Clio?
Ha! A lot of the time I think the confusion comes from what a manufacturer states in a book released when new and what subsequently is found best practice over time.
I had all the belts changed on my 182 at c38,000k I've now passed the 72,000k mark and I'm slightly confused from various posts if the cambelt needs doing every 36,000k or if it's just the aux belt that needs doing and the cambelt is fine for X years and till 114k?
Also if it is just the aux...
