Can't wait to watch

So today when I had a spare hour I managed to split engine and gear box and also strip down the top half of the engine. One I removed the head I had a good look at the cylinder and can't get over how clean the bores are, I wiped my finger around them and not one bit of dirt or roughness...

To be fair I like the feel of manual racks I know on tight circuits they can become a pain but when I used to have a go kart you just can't beat that feeling of sharp and responsive turn in!

Quick update the engine and gear box has been removed today ready for it's over haul. It'll be interesting once I strip the gearbox down to see what wear I have. It was starting to crunch into 3rd on the last few track days. Also well I'm there I need to decide on gearing for 5th gear and get...

Update: Only had an hour today to work on the car and so far it's plain sailing, who ever owned the car before decided to have there own quick release bumper..... 4 cable ties haha. Next week my goal is to have the engine and inside all stripped out. I'll post up spec later that I'm going for.

Abit of an update she's now moved to inside the unit!!! Not as bad as I first thought a lot to do and long hours a head but will be worth it!

Quick up date, had time to nip up to Robs house to borrow his struts so I can cart my car around my unit! So if all goes well tomorrow she'll begin the strip down tomorrow :smile:!!!!!

What about a manual rack instead?

Just been out to see if she would start after not running for 16 months and first turn it started! If any one has some standard struts going id be interested as it would make it easier for me to move in and out of my workshop :)

Thanks sonny, i read through all your thread last night cracking build and spec! I'm hoping to have most if not all complete by march 2016 so I can test prior. Also ARDS test needs to be done. Is there a particular section I need to study for the test? Anyway luck forward to meeting you guys.

I am looking to purchase Engine Mounts Solid Top Mounts Engine Mount Gear box mount ect ect Anyone recommend any good kits or things to look out for with ones that are not very good! Or is there a kit that sells them all in one, so I don't have to get them all separate Cheers Josh

Sounds good if I drive the car for a day for example it will hold charge for about 24 hours then just goes flat and won't start, but it would start with say jump leads

This might be a stupid question but struggling to get my head around it..... My battery keeps going flat and must be loosing charge, thus meaning the car not turning over I don't even get the little red light that flashes on the dash. I don't use my car every day it's a track day car so...
