Well, as I thought, I've been called into work, so I wont be able to make it to this, shame was looking forward to attending my first meet.
Expecting a busy day in the shop where I work though, so hopefully the weather stays nice and I may keep getting extra hours.
yeh been gokarting, loved it, and the racing the porsche wasn't exactly a propper race, other guy wasn't exactly racing against me or he woulda been a blur in front of me, and at no time did any of us break speed limits or drive dangerously, it was mearly getting up a bit more speed to pass him...
Ok, so not got the cash yet, and prob's a while off, but would be nice to get some better alloys fitter rather than the default ones on atm.
First of all pic of my car, 1.2 Clio extreme 16V.
Now, not 100% sure if these alloys will definately fit and such as I'm total newb, just trying to get...
Well, I passed in december, and had a lotta these kinda drivers on my lessons, none on test days thankfully.
Now I've passed im glad to say I'm not one of them, I tend to give them a little more space, same with normal drives too if they look a little unsure, a few extra minutes stuck behind...
similar position to me, I passed in december, got a 1.2 extreme in April so been driving it couple of month now, gotta say im loving it for a first car, sure you will too.
Few things:
Firstly welcome to the forum, hope u enjoy it here, haven't been here long myself but everyone seems friendly...
I really like the alloys white, though they don't match in with the red, I'd maybe scrap the touches or red elsewhere (brakes and badges) and go for black/white colour scheme throughout.
bit of searching, (well, I typed "repairing sunroof seal" into google anyway.) and came across this.

looks like a pretty simple fix if you follow the guide.
Re: Whos been a naughty boy/girl?
judging by their FB post, and the bit where they claim "deliberately" they imply you must have put your foot down and picked up a little pace, any damage to your car? surely even just a slight hit and there would have been something.
But judging from the fact...
Ok, so first of all, I wont be going over the top, 1st car and don't exactly have the cash to splash. But just thought it would be nice to have a thread on my car to help me monitor my progress.
Car: 1.2 Renault Clio Extreme.
Done List
Shock Absorbers Replaced
CV Gaiter
Still To Do List...
Was wondering who would be interested in a five-a-side meet-up. (footy)
Basically would need around 10 people, we'd meet up and have a kick-about somewhere
If we have more or less than 10 we could make it 4-a-side or 6-a-side etc...
Thinking maybe if we have a propper game, take some snacks or...
Well as far as I can see, the bidding is only an interest in viewing only falls under that rule if you're bidding on a new car from a dealer.
Select the vehicle you want and enter your contact information. Your contact information is secure and you're under no obligation to purchase the...

Well, some idion in caar park had parked on the white line and slightly over into the next parking space, was really busy so wasn't going to look around for another spot.
I pulled in as best I could (my driving side facing his driving side) and just managed to squeeze out of my car door without...
Ok, so been told that theres a slight crack in one of my ABS rings, garage said they're going to get back to me with a quote but it's looking like they've forgotten.
It's only the smallest of cracks and been told its fine to drive as long as I take it easy with the car, was just wondering if...
I think someone mentioned this not long ago, actually didnt think it would look too bad from the descriptions, but now I see a picture, just ewww, way too over the top lol.
Love the look of the air intake, looks like a nice car, sure you'll love it, CSS is Clio Sport Saturday btw, a yearly event held by the team that run the site, never been myself as I'm new too and little chance of me getting time off work to go this year. Hope to go to the next one though...
The car had literally just passed MOT in march, so I assume they'd have more proof the fault wasn't there when I bought the car than the proof I'd have that it was.
I honestly have little idea to tell the truth, the garage today did say that they'd put me in contact with the repair place they...
in all fairness, they got the job done at the price they quoted me, my own fault for not shopping around first really lol, but as it was emergency I just wanted it fixed asap.
Well, got quotes elsewhere for the advisories and they're about half of the quote Halfords gave me, not going there again lol.
Gonna ring around see if I can get them even cheaper, also today got the key for the central part of alloys, and got the garage where I bought the car from to sort me...
well, got car back and running a lot more smoothly now, gonna aim for some cheaper quotes to get the few advisory's they mentioned doing once I have the cash, halfords quoted another £450 for the 3 advisories which I know I can get cheaper. Main reason I went 1st time was as it was emergency and...
im in durham area, already getting repaired by halfords atm, hoping to get it back today or tomorrow, there are a few other advisories though, so if I make it to a meet up at some point in future wouldnt have any issues with any of the guys from here taking a look at it to tell me what they think.
the garage I got it from doesnt do any repairs etc... they outsource it all, they deal only in the car sales part of it, and wouldnt trust them to repair anyway lol, only got the car their cos it was cheap, kinda expected problems, taken it to halfords to get it repaired, maybe a little more...
Only engine/gearbox warranty.
Might try and push them to cover partial refund of the £191 when I head down there once I get the car back, but not too high hopes tbh.
Thanks, managed to contact the garage this morning though and they've agreed to replace them for me free of charge :)
Yeh 3 weeks ago at a local garage.
Well, took it to the garage today, turns out driver side shock absorber was completely snapped in half, the fact I made it to work and back and them to the garage this morning was pretty lucky.
£191 quote to fix it, recommended I also replace the passenger side one as its same age and could be...
