So, it's broke where it comes out of the cat. A weld would be temporary, long-term I can't find and new standard ones (Renault probably decided to stop making them). So aftermarket options please?
Cheapest I can find is one made by Gravity?
Nothing too loud as I don't want an ASBO or nothing...
Hi, the car took an extra second and skipped before it started whilst turning the key. It was fine the next time, then the next time it fired there was like a crunchy sound after for a split second.
Battery should be fine as it's just a year old.
I'll get it checked tomorrow, anyone had...
Hi, had a thermostat fitted last August......99% sure it's gone again...... problem is it'd be easier to find hen's teeth than a genuine one right now!
Anyone use or could recommend a pattern one? A quick look on eBay has one made by gates for the 197/200.
Thanks
Walking past the N/S of my car, I somehow managed to snap off the smooth black wingmirror cover. I can only find the normal textured ones on ebay, anybody know where I could find the ones with said finish that go on the 200 cup?
Cheers. Yes, I know I'm an idiot!
Hi
Got the standard set-up at the moment on the front.
Had the car serviced including the brakes bled last month as they were a little spongy (could get the pedal all the way to the floor). After the bleed they are a bit better, but I'm still not 100% happy.
The pads and discs have lots of...
The part of the dash where you can scroll through the various trip computer messages is fading. The symbol underneath where it shows if any doors are open is fine. I've had a quick search and can't find anything about this, has anybody else had it before? I'm thinking it might be a dash out...
Had a special reg on it, parked in one of the fields near the track for the MotoGP. Owner must be minted if they can afford to pay the parking charges there! Also spotted a 62 reg LY 200 on the M1 heading North on the way back being driven by a young lady. Anybody own either of them?
Just wondered if anybody else's 200 (standard exhaust) pops when its idling? Nothing too loud, only noticed it today. I was expecting it to pop when you change gear like most other cars.
Cheers
My LH door speaker keeps cutting in and out. Had the speaker and radio out, no loose connectors or trapper wiring that I can see. I'm thinking, next port of call is to get a new speaker?
Cheers
After my last thread about who complemented you on your car the most, men or women (which bombed). And after reading the thread about what/who made you buy a cliosport. I was wondering about ages, hot hatches are perceived as what young/middle age people drive.
So, have you had any comments...
My 200s due for a service soon, but there's no service schedule in the handbook. Could be missing, or is there anywhere I can download one from?
Cheers
Simple question, which of the above has complemented you on your Clio the most?
Personally, had over a dozen guys say they like my car versus only two girls.
Tad disappointed at that! Seems the RS200 doesn't appeal to the ladies.
Read afew stories about gearboxes on the RS200s having to be replaced. I've got one, I as just wondering what the telltail signs are that one is going as the cars still under warrenty and if it does go i'd like to be able to know a.s.a.p and get it sorted.
Cheers
This has been posted on the Ashby Folville facebook page:
'Would the owner or anyone who knows the owner of a Renault Clio Renaultsport 172 (3 Door Hatchback) registration number T5MYG, please let him know he will not be welcom at any further Ashby Folville car nights. This is the car that...
Hi
I've got a standard RS200, bit of a blank canvas, want to start fiddling. Was going to start off with a green cotton air filter (doubt i'll notice much gain, just make it sound abit better). Read about de-cating pipes, but that would cause a problem at M.O.T time surely?
Also when would...
Just bought a RS200, its got some ContiSportContact 3's on the back and some Indonesian things on the front.
Dont really trust them on a 200 brake FWD hot hatch (plus the tread is getting abit low).
So should I put two Conti's on the front or go for something different all round, whats best?
Cheers
Hi everybody
Just bought this beauty:

Its got the standard sports seats, bit like sitting on a bouncy castle when you go over bumps. Anybody else find that?
I'd imagine the Recaro bucket seats are abit firmer.
Might swap them over when the warrenty runs out.
