No no no, you've misunderstood my reasoning for buying the dash cam and what I meant by saying "I don't want this happening again". As it stands, this incident is the word of the van driver against mine because no witnesses stopped to give their account at the scene, and as people in this thread...
Ah right fair enough. You're not worried about the lack of self levelling or cops either obviously? I dunno, it's an area that has got people into trouble here before and I'd be skeptical about doing it unless I was giving it to Reno for a full factory retrofit at £££ cost.
Yeah, the more I think about this the more I assume that it'll go that way. I don't want this happening again, so I've just ordered a dash cam. It'll be going in the car the day and hour it arrives.
No he didn't LOL that was me when I posted it. His edit was removing the picture of a hot chick's bum in a bikini that Jack posted :D
Just started the claim and investigation with my insurer a few minutes ago. Here we go again :(
He wasn't even on the roundabout when the incident started. Did you see the map I posted earlier? I was in the RH lane moving towards the left (inside of the roundabout) when he began pulling out of the junction. He was in the RH lane of the junction, but the LH lane of the junction only leads...

I am concerned about losing my insurance because I had a total write off after losing my '07 Dyna S in a weather related incident involving snow and a tree. One car incident, no injuries, just one sad looking Dyna S and me a bit shaken up. Then I had a claim made against...
I have my story straight. I slowed down by coming off throttle, I braked when I realized that we were going to collide. At that point it was too late. I didn't perform an emergency braking maneuver, I performed an avoidance maneuver.
Exactly what I plan on doing. All things considered I may be...
The visibility is crystal clear if you look where you're going, which he obviously didn't. There are no barriers, just a triangular grass verge as you'll see on the map:
The Red arrow is his direction of travel, the green arrow is mine and the blue dot is the approximate location at which we...
Not that either. It's a motorway on-ramp flyover. He was coming onto the flyover from a junction in front of me, I was already on it heading for a junction further along it.
With due respect guys, that's b****cks. He drove out in front of me, I slowed down, he kept coming and moving over, I brushed him. 100% nothing I could do. I'm not talking about a 15mph town roundabout, I'm talking about a motorway slipway flyover junction - I was in 3rd and doing a good 40mph...
I had a nasty brush with a van on a flyover roundabout on my way into work this morning. My immaculate (ignore the dirt, roads are atrocious at the moment) MK3 DCi is destroyed along one side :( The van driver pulled out in front of me, I had nowhere to go but the rapidly closing gap between him...
My 2010 MK3 1.5 DCi is hitting 50K miles in the next couple of weeks and I thought I would ask for a few pointers here regarding this. The car has been serviced every 12K since new - Renault performed the first service and I have done the 3 since. It's actually overdue now and the service light...
Good list indeed! Just don't tell your girlfriend... Mine still doesn't know that the 'little' box of detailing gear which turned up for me a couple of weeks ago was £600 worth :D
I've googled this as much as I can bear and have gotten nothing but confused, so I'm asking you folk instead!
I'm currently in the process of upgrading as many lights on my car as possible. Have already ordered the following:
4x W5W LEDs for the sidelights and number plate:
H1 Xtreme...
Crap, in that case it's a complete no go - I have no drill or rivets here to get it off or back on again. I'm working in the garage at our holiday place so I don't have my own entire garage full of tools, just what I could fit in the back along with my detailing gear to come up here which...
MK3 Facelift Front Bumper Trim Removal
Does anyone have any idea if the front grill(s), number plate mount and the two pieces of plastic trim on either side of the the number plate on a MK3 facelift (2010) can be removed without taking off the bumper? I want them out to give a thorough clean...
+1 for the general consensus towards Tim @ CYC. It has taken him three days to process my last two (huge, I might add) orders, and there's also the fact that I live in NI and it costs £15 per DPD consignment, which is marketed at 'DPD two day'. Now, when I ordered from Alex at Elite Car Care on...
My Dyna S was a 2007 and had an engine cover as well. The dealer was implying that some facelift models (2010 onwards?) came from the factory without engine covers - AFAIK the facelift model has a two part cover due to the intercooler pipe running over the top of the engine.
I'm posting this in the hope that CS members will help clear this issue up for me once and for all - As you may have read in my intro, the car was bought in 2010 on a gap insurance claim as a "near as we can make it" replacement for a Dynamique S. The S had an engine cover. The I-Music did...
Spotted this one when I was coming out of work a few weeks ago. Sorry for the crappy phone picture, just snapped it out the window of the car quickly. Quite a nice looking car, I gather all of this is after market? Or is it a model/spec I'm not familiar with?
I definitely want to go for Xenons, it's not only for the aesthetics but also for the functionality, I've driven cars with Xenons recently and the difference between them and my halogens is like night and day. I didn't get a chance to call Adam yesterday but I'll contact him at the start of the...
