yeah the 1.2 TCE is the one to go for but harder to find on my budget, i didn't realise the front arches were wider so thanks for that! Any particular problem areas? Things similar to the ecu's and the sun roofs on mk 2's.

Quick update- The insure decided it was a category B, which is absolute crap. I could of put it back on the road for about £600. There was no bodywork damage or structural damage, just suspension and other things that were remove and replace jobs. I'm pretty gutted

I'm glad you mentioned the distance from me, cars around where i live seem to be overpriced so that may work in my favour. When my dads car was written off the insurer took of a lot of the value because it was missing 2 of its 10 services, so you never know my insurer may value a FSH.

Hi mate, great project the car looks great! I'm really jealous I'm thinking about putting in an RS interior, i've read that the drivers seat can be awkward? Something to do with the airbag or pretensioners causing the air bag light to come on. Did you have any of these issues? Cheers, Ian
