Hi,
Im looking for a high quality booster pack to use on both normal car batteries and cars using race type batteries, odyssey etc. Not too huge and heavy either preferably and good vfm.
Im also on the look out for a high quality set of jump leads.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Neil
The two ice been looking at are 14cfm and 3hp. The Clarke has 60l capacity over the wolf one but looking at £200 more. I' trying to work out if its worth the extra cash. Obviously itl be higher quality and I'll have better customer service through machine mart too.
As above with the nuts and...
Hi,
Im looking for a decent home sand blasting set up. I've loosely narrowed down to the wolf 90l belt drive compressor or a Clarke boxer 150l one. Sand blasting cabinet I'm open to ideas.
Does anyone on here run either compressor or similar? Any tips for sand blaster?
Cheers!
Your ride height should be determined by the corner weighting of the car, with you in it, whatever ballast you need to run and the amount of fuel you want to have in. I would just fit them as they are then have it all set correctly. Where you plan to use the car will also have an impact on how...

I'm looking for a pipe bender for making up replacement cunifer brake pipes on my Clio.
What do you guys recommend? Would the plier type be ok?
Cheers,
Neil
I've bought the Sealey one as I can get it tomorrow from amazon. I doubt that I'll ever use m10 anyway and if I did I will just fit them by hand.
Cheers for the help everyone!
Cheers, that looks very similar to this Sealey one. Might go for that as its in stock...

Hi,
I'm looking to buy a rivnut gun, just curious what everyone uses?
I'm not looking for the cheapest as i would like something that works well as I've seen a few different designs. I dont mind investing in a good one.
Also, I'm looking to use stainless riv nuts as I use stainless fasteners...
I'm not clued up on 197s but the reason for going so hard on the rear is a sort of average of the advice I've been given. Some say 475 rear, some say 625 rear. I want to try 500 on the front so wanted a little more on rear for better turn in. I'm new to the track coilover game so thinking about...
Is it AST you are going for? If not which are you after?
Not sure which dampers I'm going for with my 182 but I'll be trying 500 front and 550 rear to see how I get on.
As Craig said above it will be for sls and track days.
I don't have winged seats, which has me leaning towards the Simpson one as it offers better side impact protection.
As there is plenty run off at knockhill I can see, if there was to be an accident, it being me spinning and someone...
Hi,
I'm looking to fit either a 2.25l or a 4.0l plumbed extinguisher. I'm thinking about mounting in the boot and a hand held in passenger foot well.
Anyone got pictures of their set up for some inspiration on mounting. Also for nozzle positions.
Cheers,
Neil
I would use a large block of cheddar cheese, whittled down using my razor sharp wit to create a fixture. I would then mount 3 segments of mini Toblerone in a collet and mill the faces using almond milk as coolant.
Alternatively, use thin wood packers and t nut the hell out of it with a couple...
Thanks for the input!
@Twofatladies how come the Simpson was a hassle? Do you mean more than a traditional hans device or in general having to wear something over nothing?
Hi,
I'm looking to buy a head and neck restraint but I'm not sure which one to go for.
I've narrowed it down to the Schroth version of the Hans 3 which is available for £250
Or the Simpson hybrid version which is £580.
I like the fact that the Schroth one is cheaper and matches my harnesses...
