I've had wheels done by Snappy and Royal. Royal done a Sabelt wheel for me all alcantara and tbh I wouldn't recommend it for a daily driver. It looks and feels great but it will wear a lot faster than leather.
I've had an all leather wheel with red stitching for my Trophy by Snappy and it was...
I bought the Ranger quickjack a while back. It was one of the first delivered to the UK. It's fairly expensive for what it is - I was looking at the drive over scissor lifts but what swayed me towards the quickjack was the fact it's portable!
I keep it in the middle of my garage and drive my...
I have the same one but managed to break one of the smaller threaded screws when using it on a plastic bumper.
If using stainless rivnuts then I would invest in something a little more robust.
Some of the kit car builders would use rivnuts quite a bit.
Here's one from carbuildersolutions...
The McLaren is the weekend car...if only!
I always really liked the Liquid Yellow colour and had only ever seen a LY182 in the flesh before.
Same goes for your 275, that Flame Red really makes it too! Really suits the lines of the car and looks Soooo good in the sunlight!
I had a MINI JCW for a while - really capable little car with loads of character. Loved the supercharger whine :tongueout:
But sold it a while back and bought a car I've been wanting for a while...
Only had it a few weeks but really liking it so far!
It's in as good a condition as the Trophy...
Lovely car Chris and definitely a great replacement for the Trophy!
I saw a cup-s in this colour at a local Renault dealer a while back and fell in love with the colour! Absolutely stunning!
Enjoy it!
Merry Christmas and I hope that you get to thoroughly enjoy the fruits of your labour in 2016!!! I'm excited to see the Trophy when it's finished! Best of luck.
Just a few things to recheck before going to buy a new ecu...
Was it definitely the right injector that was changed?
Does you mechanic have access to a noid light (it's a fast acting led that allows you to see injector pulse) or an oscilloscope. This will allow you to be certain that the ecu...
Hopefully there'll be a fault in the wiring loom that's easy to fix. There's always second hand ecu's on eBay complete with keys - there's no real need to buy new. You may also be able to get one from someone on this forum.
Hope you get it sorted
Undo the 2 front cat bolts (the ones with the springs) and this will release the cat. You will be able to pull the cat down and twist it - giving you more leverage to free that joint at the back. The o2 sensor is plugged into the cat but it simply unplugs from its electrical connector. I used...
I bought Criberts Trophy and it had the front bumper, bonnet and rear bumper painted by Protec. I am very fussy about the paintwork on any of my cars and I have to say the work was first class! You're in very good hands @MarcR™
Seriously no need to go outside NI to get the belts changed in your Clio. There are loads of mechanics able to do it very competently over here. Contact Eddie Spence at Renault in Newtownards. He can do a discounted price for RS owners and it's very competitive. They're a maindealer and the...
Why have one of the best performing hot hatches of all time and not use it? Total waste in my opinion! Mine is well looked after - I've just spent £800 this week getting the dampers rebuilt and refreshing the whole front suspension...but it is driven as intended by Renault.
It's going to cost...
Just sent mine off today to get refurbed. BG have been great at answering any questions i have had but it is very expensive to get them rebuilt. But a Trophy wouldn't be the same without the Sachs...
Just to add my 2 P's worth....
I had uprated to the top 2 mounts with vibratechnics and it made a big improvent. Before you could move the engine just by pushing it. Uprating the top 2 mounts didn't cause much more noticeable vibration. Then i decided to upgrade to the Evol engineering...
That Merc and a lot of other big saloons probably weighs close to 2 tonne. Yes they are much more powerful and have lots more torque and will leave you for dust on a motorway drag race...but they will not feel as responsive and change direction as quickly as a Clio when the road gets rough and...
Following this with interest! Great idea and look forward to seeing the outcome. The option of different coloured buttons is a good move too. Personally i'd like black and red (to suit the Trophy).
I have to say that a golf r400 would be a good solution
Crazy to think of the power/performance that 'hot hatches' have now! And the price too...
Even the new Civic Type R is £30k!
