he probably won,t of heard of this mod yet as it hasn,t been officialy released yet, but the strut top problem most 172,s are grouped together with,isn,t the fault, only rhd vehicles suffer with this,as the pipe work for lhd racks route differently, is yours happening when suspension compresses...- roadspear

knocking on front of cup
The knocking noise is caused by a hydraulic pressure back up on the return side of the power steering system, 172.s have a small diameter pipe on the return circuit from the rack to the resevior, it has been increased in size on the 182, so if a 182 pipe is fitted then the knocking noise goes...- roadspear
