Yes I had to bend back the tabs mentioned above. It's a fiddly job. I think I got the lower bolts in first, loosely, then put the upper ones in. I could take a pic of my one if you like but it'll probably be Wednesday before I'm back at the car.

It's worth doing some research before getting any cylinder head work done. Like a few others on this forum, ALD (or A.L.D) worked on my head and it's had major problems. In the half season of racing I've now missed, I've been in touch with him to try and resolve it and been given no help.

I used to find that going direct to elephant / bell / admiral got the lowest quotes. All the same company so doesn't really matter which. Shite to deal with and always had issues with them but cheap. If doing a price comparison website, I think moneysupermarket is the best.

Have a look at your first photo, that pipe which joins the elbow between the throttle body and the airbox should look familiar :wink:

Alistair, thanks for that. I'll give that a go! You managed this without removing the dash top? That would be a benefit as my cage makes removal of the dash a little trickier.

If you've checked everything at the front end have you checked for play at the back end? That could be causing the car to get a wiggle on.

When I bought mine last year, they came with sidemounts and runners as standard. They definately will not come with a subframe. I would expect you'll need a subframe. I got mine from Steve Turner at Turner Autosport who was very good and I'm sure he can give you a definitive answer for your car.

I have a pair of the club sports and I'd recommend them. I'm 5'9" and 12st and they fit well. They came with side mounts and runners which is also a bonus. I got mine from Turner Autosport who are very good.

I bought mine on 113k a couple of years ago, we use ours for hill climbs and sprints and it's still going very strong. Another vote here for looking at maintenance over mileage.

I think this was the one for sale previously. Just had a search online and they seem to be rated quite highly and go for good money. Looks like £200 could be a reasonable price.

There is an after market head unit that looks very oem but last time I saw one on here in the parts for sale section the guy wanted £200 for it! Worth having a look for though if you're very keen on this.

The swap isn't too bad. I did my first one last year and didn't need ramps. You'd be ok with a set of axle stands and a hoist. There's nothing technical about it. Just label everything as it comes off and take plenty of photos. There's also a few good guides on here.
