I'm chasing a bit of an annoying issue with my Cup.
My rear lights are proper screwy (typical clio disco lights)
I've done the usual, cleaned the contacts on both the light unit and the car, pulled the bulbs out and cleaned the contacts in the holders, pulled the earths off on the back...
So interestingly I discovered Carly does renaults. Plugged it in and it came up as an ecu communication error. To my surprise its actually cleared it!
Fault still exists but light is gone.
Airbag light to fix next.
Done some investigation and speedo is unrelated. It may not have been plugged in 👀😂
I need to check the o2 sensor wiring when I'm in less decent clothes.

Could explain why it's a b**ch to start too when cold. (it's on grpn timing but even so shouldn't be as bad as it is haha)
Cheers, they were my initial go to but gearbox earth is good and so is the white plug (i changed the engine bay loom for another reason but same combo of faults has been there for both).
No electrical warning light either so I'm at a loss haha.

Got a fault with my 172 Cup.
It's got the EML light on with the faults being for O2 Sensor and Throttle Position Sensor. I've tried another pedal and throttle body neither of which have an effect on the codes.
On top of this, the speedo doesn't work either which suggests it's a...

I've had it for a while and swapped running gear etc over from a cup I bought that was very rusty.
Got rear arch liners to fit tomorrow.
My 172 Cup that I'm currently in the process of building has no exhaust heatshields. Is this going to be an issue? Specifically the one between the exhaust and fuel tank not being present.
The car will be used on the road although may see a track day very very rarely.
I've got the car in the original post (ish, i reshelled it due to rust but that's another story).
Currently in the process of doing a few bits and pieces and getting tempted by the idea of 197 injectors. Wondering if anyone has used them and seen a difference between them and stock.

Been running into some difficulties with my 172 cup.
Back story is I bought an immaculate 172 cup back in 2019 which turned out to be quite rotten. Got given a rolling shell so reshelled it to the point where it was running in limp mode however another car i wanted came up so I sold...
Replaced the driveshaft i needed to replace last time i owned it. Filled the gearbox oil, drove it albeit in limp mode due to a wiring fault.
Oh and put the bumper on so it looks good in a photo.

Cooksport springs with cup shocks, cup alternator setup, ktec toyosport cat back with decat, non renault turinis. Condition wise its got a little bit of rust...
Used the engine harness from my car and main harness from the new one. Both were running driving cars prior to being stripped, (got the new one as a rolling shell)

I'd say it's not clean enough for the £3k valuation but £2k is definitely realistic.
