Ey up, I've got a problem with my 172 cup in that I just can't turn off the airbag and SERV light, even with resistors and the MOT man is having a good moan. I live near Keighley and was wondering if anyone nearby would be able to turn them off with a CLIP for me? I'd compensate you obviously...
Hello,
After sitting about a year I've tried to get my 172 cup going again. Everything works until I start the engine, then the headlights, sidelights and indicators stop working. They all work with the ignition on but not the engine. Sometimes they work for a few seconds after the engines...
I'm thinking pads too, I'll admit I've been lazy and haven't checked them. I'll change them for some more track oriented ones and update the thread in case it helps anyone else
Hi,
I did a track day at Blyton which is a track that's hard on brakes but mine performed well.
I always let them cool down for a lap or two. I've got cheap pagid pads on brembo disks and racing blue fluid.
After the track day I noticed the pedal doesn't move very far too get maximum...

I bought the car from Deany, top bloke and thanks for the easy transaction.
It's got a new engine in and if I sort a few niggles should be insured for next weekend. I'll start a thread soon.
Both the gasket and the little rubber seal are there. I tightened all the manifold bolts a little more and it stopped the revs pulsing but it stayed at around 1500rpm, so I'm going to order a new gasket and seal and see what that does. Still saying misfiring on the OBDII.
Hi,
I've just put a new engine in my 172 cup, and fired it up for the firs time. It fires up ok, goes to 2000rpm for about 5 seconds then idles anywhere between 1200-2000rpm. The OBDII jobbie gives me a p0300 error for multiple misfires. I swapped the plugs over and checked all connections and...
I'll keep an eye out. Fairly sure I was behind you in my 182 about a week ago heading out of denholme towards Halifax. Can't be many alien green 200s about. Looked awesome.
