Need more info, when did the problem start? does it only kangaroo on slowing down with engine braking, any flat spots when accelerating normally, has it been mapped or had a dodgy exhaust put on etc.
Im new to the 182 but mine is very similar. Very little between just biting and fully engaged making stop/start traffic a pain, the bite is low on mine though so I don't think it is wore out. My old Scooby used to be the same so I assumed its just a heavy duty clutch with strong springs...
Well I stripped the panel off the tailgate to see how big of a job is was to replace, disconnected the boot sensor and hey presto! Car thinks boot is now closed. At least I can lock my car again now. phew!

As a new 182 owner I have a small intermittent issue with the boot door ajar switch. When I go over a few bumps it triggers the switch and the car thinks the boot is open. Its becoming a pain now as I have to mess with the metal part on the boot every time I park up or the damned...
