Good to see more of the older generation on here, didn't expect that! I didn't feel too old when I bought my 182 new.. we've both aged a lot since.

You've had it the same amount of time as me, didn't think many had kept them that long!

I got my 04 plate 182 back on the road just around 18 months ago, 2k ish of damage, boot floor crumpled, rear seats wouldn't lock into place, new bumper, light and new exhaust, managed to ask around both at independent Renault place and various insurance approved repairers and more than one was...

Think I was on Hempstead Road, if you read this sorry for not responding, was concentrating on a combo of the sat nav and snow!

I still get excited to see another 182 on the road even after 13+ years of owning mine :smile:

Mine wasn't as clean as that but wow @ the price! Do you have the ad for that anywhere online still? I've got a quote for 1.7k of repair work to mine so need to prove it's at least worth over 2.1k I think (80%?)

What should mine be worth: 2004 182 Arctic blue 49k Both belts & dephaser just done FRSH, all receipts, all fairly immaculate as only 1 owner from new Asking as I need to argue this out with the insurance.. :-(

^ I dunno, I was in traffic but then still seems weird as I've been in far worse before and not had any issues. I've not had it checked yet, is due for MOT so will prob stick it back in Renault to check it out at the same time.

Sat in bit of on/off traffic today, nothing too major - then the coolant temp warning light started flashing. Never seen this before in nearly 11 years of owning the car.. Car felt/sounded normal, temp gauge was normal, coolant level is just under max - was serviced a month ish ago. Any ideas...

Thanks all, had to buy a new battery off them, bit expensive but not much choice in the circumstances. Said it was a bad cell in the battery, was reading 10 volts (would that mean the battery was definitely duff or could that still be a symptom of something else having failed??). Car had...

Any ideas what I should be looking for as a problem? Going to call breakdown shortly but just wanted some likely ideas in advance (previous breakdown co didn't know what they were doing when I broke down with alternator failure so the more I can suggest/know the better...). Car is 10.5 years...

Thanks both ^ will investigate both options. I'd really like new ones but thinking about it, in case they get taken again, I've found a breaker selling some 2nd hand ones, but considering the options at the moment. So peed off about having to buy replacements!

Yep that's the bit, didn't realise they were called that! Just looking to get them cheaper than Renault from somewhere reliable, am a bit out of touch with best suppliers though these days.. Yeah hadn't been on here in a couple of years! Still got the same 182 albeit it's now over 10 years...

Any suggestions other than Ebay? Local Renault dealer wants £60 for two... Also, how do the new ones fit, do they just clip in easily?

Today

26/2 in the afternoon parked on the road just outside the car park

This morning, around 10:30, about 2 miles away from Birchington, just as we hit the traffic. No idea what road it was, I was following the Sat Nav to Minnis Bay.

One about 4pm, one about 6pm, was somewhere on the road between Kinson and Broadstone I think at the time!

I've been given a CD with various files on, looks like they are .dcm files, they put software files etc on as well, loads of stuff on the CD but I can't get to view the xrays, anyone ever done this?? :S
